Without disclosure, the company charged our credit for services not agreed upon. Company did not provide daily invoices as agreed and ran credit card charges daily without disclosure/permission/signature; only an initial $1500 deposit was authorized. Company also did not disclose that travel time was being billed. This information was only discovered when there was a discrepancy about number of hours being billed. Specifically, the travel time charges exceded 1/3 the entire cost of the project. Had this been disclosed, we would have chosen a different contractor. With the invoices being with-held, we were afforded the opportunity to stop services. (the company was billing us $47.50/hour per man. Each day, there were 5 men working and billed 2 hours per man per day for travel...and not including tax). Had this been disclosed, obviously we would have picked a different service. Aside from the unauthorized billing etc, we gave the company an itemized list, based on our insurance adjustors instructions, of what we had to save and gut. One item in question, the jacuzzi/bathtub, was to be saved. This was marred and is unable to be reused because the service stored the tub on its face, scratching it on the concrete. This was dismissed by the contractor also.
