Provided by YP.comYears ago the standard for USPS deliveries was that, if the person to whom the package was addressed was not available for delivery, a notice was left at the property and the package held at the local branch for pickup.
The new standard here at the Roxbury 02119/Roxbury Crossing 02120 offices is that packages are unceremoniously dumped on the front steps of your property and you might actually get your stuff if you manage to grab it before a local thief gets their hands on it first. On Friday, November 27, 2015, three packages were "delivered" to my front porch -- as indicated by the tracking information provided -- and stolen because I was away for the first part of the Thanksgiving weekend. $200 worth of merchandise lost, and I'm told by totally worthless branch manager Mike Lombardi that it's MY responsibility, and that of the sender, to try to recover the money spend on the merchandise. No consequences at all for either the management or the slothful clown who did the "delivery".
And I had to wait around for an hour, then fume at the staff for another half hour, to get this amount of "satisfaction". USPS, you suck. Royally. And you know damn well that customers out in Dover, Newton and Arlington wouldn't be expected to accept this miserable level of service.
