The staff are nice. And with a great professional and caring Veterinarian this place is first class. Boarding service is available, but realize it is a small place.

Best Vet service I've ever been to in my 58 years of life.
These people care more about the animal than the money.
Here is my first experience with them beginning in the year 2015.
My Scottish Terrier (age 9) had a uterus infection. I first sought help for her at a Harlowton MT vet. This is what she told me. Because she had a uterus infection it would cost more than if a simple spay, 350.00. This was to be paid at time of service (no billing). This was far above what I could afford. My neighbor seeing my distress over this price (who drove me to the vet) said he would pay the fee and I could pay him back. This vet then said, that 350.00 was the least it would cost. It could run as high as $500.00. But if I couldn't afford this she would be HAPPY to put her down for much less. needless to say I let her know what a heartless cut-throat she was and left.
I told another near neighbor of this and they told me of the Homestead vet. They said Maryrose is a supper nice woman, and I should call them.
I did call and they told me they would charge the typical spay fee for her size/weight, which came to $150.00. They said their was NO reason to charge more than a simple spay as all they were doing was removing the uterus as in a spay.
$150 was far more within my budget and i was able to get her spay. They gave me antibiotics at a reasonable fee, and my Scottie was well and happy again in less than a week.
I also was able to stay by my Scotties side comforting her as she was prepared for surgery, and had fallen asleep. If I had wanted I could have stayed with her during the entire process.
A couple of years later I had my other female Scottie (age 8) to be spay. Again I stayed with her until she fell asleep (it reduces the stress due to fear). Two days after I had her home I notice she had a oozing infection in the stitches. I called the vet and told them of the infection and if there was a way I could get an antibiotic for her (they know I live an hour away) and would mail it to me and I could pay for it on my next visit. Needless to say I was ecstatic with joy (I love my animals). I got the antibiotics in the mail the next day.
These people also offer fee reductions for spaying dogs and cats through the Rimrock Animal shelter in Billings (please send Rimrock donations - they deserve it).
I love these people at Homestead vet. I truly think their the best in the State of MT. Mary and her staff are wonderful, caring people.
