Our aim at Apollo Dog Training is to develop strong, healthy relationships between animals and humans built on a foundation of love and trust, that is mutually beneficial to both. We believe that all dogs want, and can, learn to be a valued member of the community. We help dogs do this by training people as well! We welcome all pets, in all different stages of learning, and offer a diverse range of options to suit all needs. Dogs are complex animals, and learn very differently from we do. Our training methods at Apollo Dog Training are based on the scientifically proven more effective methods of positive reinforcement combined with a healthy, balanced day to day life. Several things can contribute to how, and how quickly your dog can learn. Before any classes are taken, or sessions scheduled, we always offer a FREE evaluation and consultation. We will get to know you and your dog a bit and chat about what you would like to accomplish with your pet, or what you would like to improve upon. Dogs are complex animals, and learn very differently from we do. Our training methods at Apollo Dog Training are based on the scientifically proven more effective methods of positive reinforcement combined with a healthy, balanced day to day life. Dogs are contextual learners, and will learn best in the environment in which you expect them to perform. This reduces the time needed to acclimate to new surroundings, as well as the time needed to apply learned behaviors to a different environment than where those behaviors were learned initially. They are already comfortable in their natural habitat, and will more easily associate the behaviors you want with their everyday environment. Before any classes are taken, or sessions scheduled, we always offer a FREE evaluation and consultation.
