We are a Periodontic practice, practicing in St. Charles, Illinois for over 25 years. Over the years we have grown from one to two practicing doctors and a staff of 21, are space had become limited. A few years ago, we made the leap to become a completely chartless practice. With that accomplished, we decided to somehow securely move 10 years of archived files off-site with maintainable, easy access. We researched what would be involved and the financial responsibility with using a secure storage facility. We also looked into the possibilities currently available to have all of our charts scanned, including radiographs (xrays) through an imaging company. The monthly fee involved with off-site storage compared with having all documents converted to digital files at your disposal really made our decision simple.
