One of our specialties and most commonly requested services include those associated with mold growth.  Mold exists everywhere.  It has been part of the natural process of decomposition for thousands and thousands of years, and can be found both indoors and outdoors.  Some of the most common household molds include: Alternaria, Penicillium, Cladosporium, Aspergillus, and Stachybotrys.  These are also referred to as “mycotoxins,” which are suspected to cause negative health affects when exposed to.  Out of the hundreds of thousands of types of mold, their sole purpose is to consume and break down organic material, which, in most cases, include the structural materials of homes and buildings.  They also include wood, adhesives, paper, plants, animals, and fabrics.  In order for mold to grow, the right conditions must be met.  When microscopic mold spores travel through the air and land on the nutrients mentioned above, it can thrive with just a small amount of moisture and the proper temperatures, and can severely damage the structural integrity of a home, building, or other structure.  To prevent mold indoors, moisture and humidity levels must be kept at a minimum. At Indoor-Restore, not only do we provide moisture inspection and leak detection services, but we also provide services for controlling and minimizing humidity levels in any property type.  If mold growth has occurred, we also specialize in removing it.  Though we do handle all sizes of mold situations, big and small, it may be so severe that the process of remediation is necessary.  Mold Remediation involves using our trained technicians to isolate the contaminated area with barriers, to prevent cross-contamination to unaffected areas, and use construction techniques to remove all affected areas of the contaminated material from the structure, including the source of growth.  These contaminated areas may include portions of the walls, ceilings, or floors.  The structure is then rebuilt and restored to its pre-contaminated state. Not only are all of our field staff fully certified and trained to handle situations of any size, but many also have backgrounds in home inspection, microbiology, and industrial hygiene.

Mold Removal & Remediation - If moisture has entered a part of a home or building through a slow leak or other form of water damage, big or small, it can develop into a severe problem if the moisture is not taken care of immediately. Large mold situations may require the process of remediation to be completely removed and to prevent it from growing back in the future. Mold Remediation involves using our skilled technicians to segregate the contaminated area with barriers, to prevent the cross-contamination to the areas with no mold present, and perform construction procedures to remove all affected areas of the contaminated material from the structure. These contaminated areas may include entire portions of walls, ceilings, or floors, where the mold growth can be so deep that it cannot be seen without the help of specialized infrared and moisture-detecting tools. When the contaminated materials and moisture are completely removed, the structure is then rebuilt and restored to its pre-contaminated state, including the source of the mold growth. Water Damage Restoration - If mold remediation is performed, or if property is damaged by other forms of water damage, it must be restored to its pre-damage state. The process of restoration may include the construction of wall framing, plumbing, drywall, painting, wiring and other electrical work, and the installation of appliances. The amount of work required varies depending on the level of damage that occurred and the requests of the property owner. Typically, restoration involves returning the structure to its state before the damage occurred. However, customizations and remodels can be accommodated with your preferences. Mold Testing & Inspection - A mold inspection can be precautionary or needed as a result from a water damage situation. A typical investigation involves a full visual analysis of the property, using a moisture meter to detect any moisture, as well as leak detection, and collecting air and/or surface samples. In our laboratory analysis, we test the quality of air in your home for harmful mold, allergens, and other contaminants. A full report explaining the results with photos is then sent to you, which also includes any findings and recommendations by the inspector. If needed, an estimate for remediation will also be provided. All of our pricing is completely up-front; there are no surprises or hidden fees presented after a service is completed. You may call our customer service if you have any questions about your situation and what action to take, and how much all services will cost up-front, whether a property owner or tenant looking for help.
