The tech, (younger tech who also runs the office)came to fix my dryer. Dryer was heating but the drum was not spinning. I said it was probably the belt and when he came out he said, yes, it was the belt. But it took him almost an hour to "try" and fix it. He pressured my husband to "sign off" on it (I wasn't home yet) even though my husband said he didn't see the drum spin but the tech said he could "hear it spinning." Of course I got home 1/2 hour after that, put in wet clothes and not working - same problem. called tech next day and he was argumentative and finally admitted he had a "difficult time" getting the belt on becasue it's an older maytag and well, it's possible he "didn't get it on all the way so it splipped off." but at first he tried to say it was working great when he left and how could it not be working? argumentative as I said. I didnt' like his tone so I asked for a refund and he insisted he'd send someone else out - older who "knew more about older machines." Thankfully, two days later a nice older gentleman came and in 5 minutes put on a new belt, correctly, and it was all good to go. He was sweet and I was happy he was the one they sent out. That's the only redeeming thing about this company - that they have one "older" gentleman that knows how to make repairs - IF YOU GET HIM on your job. But still the WAY OVERCHARGED. The job should have only taken 10 minutes as the older repair man demonstrated, but the first tech, who I think is also the manager, charged me over twice as much as what they inferred it would cost. PLUS for the belt he charge me 72.00 but it should have only been about 20.00 - that's what I was quoted by two other appliance repair shops - that I SHOULD HAVE USED instead. The only thing they have going for them is the tech that came out the second time - he was great. He probably doesn't see much of the profit they are charging in the office. I offered to give him a tip which he declined, so I just gave him a hug instead. Stay away from this company.
