I really like Dr. Jackson, I have not met Dr. Sparks. I have found Dr. Jackson to be very attentive and very reasonable to deal with. I was having a depressed time in my life and was prescribed Effexor at a higher dose than my body was able to handle but that is not anything that someone would know ahead of time. I handled it by cutting my dose back and gradually increasing it. This worked very well and I am now taking the prescribed dose and am no longer depressed. I now feel like being productive and am once again happy. Overall, I feel that my experience while under the care of Dr. Jackson has been one of great success. I would recommend this doctor to anyone. I have to say that I have not had a particularly bad experience with the front desk help but I have noticed that the girl is not very friendly and I was not made to feel welcome but I'm an adult so I can certainly handle it. My four star rating would have been a five if not for the front desk. I have found the rest of the staff to be very friendly and accommodating.

As one reviewer stated, the gal at the front desk isn't pleasant. But how much does that ultimately matter to me? Not much at all (as is reflected in my 5 stars).

The nurses are friendly and genuine.
Dr. Jackson (my husbands and my primary care physician for years now) is the most attentive doctor I've ever been to (and I've been to many!). He will actively listen to any and all issues and concerns you have. Then he applies his expertise and vast knowledge. He's extremely good at his job. He has been well versed on even the obscure/rare problems I have. He has always been very kind and reasonable to me.
I am able to get my pap smeers and birth control from him. And his exams are the most comfortable I've experienced.
The gals who draw blood are very good at it. I'm _terrified_ of needles and they handle me well.

If you need a doctor who will take his time with you and listen to you, who can run tests right there, can handle your insurance flawlessly, and who can get you in same day, you should really try out Sparks Clinic.

I would not recommend DR. Robert Sparks under any circumstances. He prescribed me an antidepressant after telling him I had bad experiences with prior. I'm spending 20 hours a day in bed trying to recover and wing myself off after their botched attempt to serve me up Effexor. This is pure posion and I had over 20 adverse reactions.. When calling his office got a snooty response.. Lab reports from his back office look like the work of 7th graders. Totally worthless. Buyer beware unless you need a rabies shot. You can look up this med on the internet and see for youself the adverse reactions. Tried it twice in a 15 year span and people have committed suicide while on this medication.

This is an A typical Doctor who orders un-needed test to pad the bill. I provided him in hand a recent lab report on myself, then he draws blood and does another report. Why ? Just to pad the bill. I see this as nothing but money grabbing and unethical.

I understand that a previous reviewer had complained about a rude front office staff. To the contrary, my experiences have been the complete opposite. I've been to some offices where patients are treated like heads of cattle being led to slaughter, but my experience at Dr. Sparks' Clinic has been nothing but pleasant. Both Dr. Sparks and Dr. Jackson are folks who I can confidently trust with the health of my family. It doesn't hurt that they're a one-stop shop with the ability to run certain diagnostic tests and X-rays in-house.
