I am from out of town so I used Yelp and YP a lot to find out where to do my business. I choose Aransas Propane because of location is closed to where I am. I understand rating of 1 star is very poor but not a lot of people rated it so I take my chances just in case it was an error. It was an old man help filled the tank for me. He was courteous and told me that my tank may be do for inspection 2017. I need to get rid of the rust otherwise, I may not pass. He filled the tank and I paid credit card inside. I only paid what was filled 2 tanks come up to 13.9 gal. I told the lady who ran my credit card that if she knew there was a bad review on Aransas Propane. She said that she knew and the guy came in with a different type of RV propane tank. The gas has to release before filled. I asked her if she can rebuttal this in YP. I know some did in Yelp but she told me she cannot. I told her when I get back, I will rate the place correctly.

I had the tank on my motor home filled by Aransas Propane in May, 2014. When the employee had filled the tank the meter reading was 7.3 Gallons. He continued to vent gas to the outside air until the meter reading was 8.0 Gallons, and then charged me for 8 Gallons. I was not only ripped off for .7 Gallon of gas, but gas was needlessly vented to the outside air.
