Stellar work ethic throughout process. Carla kept us informed as to status of job. Danny & his crew showed up on time, worked non-stop, & went over & above what was promised. Scott was on scene throughout the day to make sure we were happy with all aspects of the job. Removed 2 very large pine trees & limb removal near home & on challenging terrain. Cleaned up perfectly - will be recommending highly to friends & neighbors. On top of this, the price was reasonable - couldn't be more pleased, & I am not always easy to please!

I called Wendel Tree and asked to get a quote to remove 3 trees, stump grinding and chipping of the roots. Gary showed up on time and gave a very detailed quote with a reasonable price. We were so impressed that we decided to remove 2 more trees. They sent out a very experienced crew with some great equipment. In 4 days they knocked out the job to our satisfaction. Scott is the owner of the company and he showed up every day to make sure the job was done right. They cleaned up the areas real well, and overall they were a pleasure to deal with. I would hire them again.

Scott Wendel and his staff did an excellent job trimming and shaping our trees along that building and rest of the property. Spent the time to plan out their day to not interrupt or interfere with the day to day operations at the building. Provided a completive quote after onsite walk through. Were on site early to get a head start before the businesses and employees arrived. Practiced and pay attention to the work area to make sure the trimming and cutting of the trees were done in a safe manner. Provided updates on the status through the project. Made sure to clean up at the end of each day and once the job was done. Great contractor to work with and would highly recommend them to get the job done right, safe, and within budget. Even went the extra mile to remove a piece of blue painters tape off of a window on the 3 floor when asked.

Having two giant oak trees taken down was an emotional experience for me. 45 years ago my late-husband dug the dirt from the excavation of our basement from around the base of those trees, consulted M.S.U. as to how to treat the gouges made by the bulldozers and performed “tree surgery” saving the now 90 -100 year old oaks that we loved. As I watched them wither and die over the last couple years, I heard some horror stories about other people’s experiences with tree services. So when the time came, I had done my research and gotten bids from several companies before seeing Wendel Tree Service trucks working in my neighborhood. I was impressed with their equipment and research on their company yielded positive results.



Mr. Wendel and his son Scott both came by to assess the job, and each spent a good amount of time with me, patiently giving me the necessary information, references, and insurance information. Their bid was competitive with others who were not proposing the use of the heavy equipment which I later realized was essential to the space available. The day of the removal the crew arrived promptly at 9:00 and with the aid of a cherry picker, a crane, a stump grinder and a very skilled, pleasant and courteous crew the job was completed by 5:00. I sat outside much of the day and watched the process. I was amazed by the precision of the crew as they worked with ropes, pulleys and saws to remove and lower the branches carefully to the ground. Finally, the crane assisted in removing the trunks, lifting the segments high, up and over my garden, before lowering them to the ground. It was an awesome experience. Stump grinding and cleanup followed. The crew left my yard looking better than it did when they arrived. The gentleman in the cherry picker basket even got out on the roof with a blower, blew away the debris and sawdust and cleaned out all the gutters. Wendel Tree Service? Outstanding!

We are first time customers to Wendel Tree and Landscaping and would like to tell you how extremely satisfied we are with their service. Scott and his crew went above and beyond the call of duty. They were very professional and courteous. We had very specific needs along with time constraints and the owner Scott made it happen. We live in an area where the ground gets soft very quickly and stays that way for quite some time. He made our job priority and down came the tree in a few days. Another company was supposed to take out the tree before the ground thawed but didn’t follow through. In addition, there was a spot in our yard that was already soft and so the equipment tore up the grass a bit (was not much grass there to begin with) so Scott showed up and reseeded that area. What great service! We will definitely be using Wendel Tree and Landscaping services again and find them an exceptional choice.

I am a first time customer with Wendel and I am very satisfied. Scott was great to work with and was very educational. He took the time after hours to assess the tree I needed to have removed and spent time so I fully understood the process. Scott took the time to fully understand exactly what I was looking for and what my expectations were. Once the tree was removed, he returned and ground out the stump. The stump was high above the level of the grass and he ground it downt to the point where you can no longer tell a tree ever existed. I would recommend using Scott to all of my friends and family and I will be calling him again directly for all of my future needs.

Workers damaged my car during edging of my driveway. When I alerted the owner he was abrasive and confrontational. Insinuated that I lied about where my car was parked. Never offered to resolve the situation, just denied responsibility. I terminated the contract immediately and would never use wendel for any other jobs.

I was very disappointed with the lack of communication with this company. I submitted a quote request with their website and got no response. I spoke with Scott on the phone and set up an appointment for a quote. He kept me on the phone for ~10 minutes telling me all about how dedicated to his clients he was and how they do all the common areas in our sub. He was a no call no show. That doesn't say dedication to me.

Scott came to the rescue and tackled my uphill driveway in no time clearing away the layers of snow and ice that had built up after multiple snowstorms.

It was exhausting learning the majority of local places would only do commercial work for snow removal, but after calling Wendel Tree & Landscape, Scott informed me he was available to plow my driveway and came out the very same evening, hardly an hour after I called. Anyone looking for reliable and efficient snow removal service, do yourself a favor and call Wendel Tree & Landscape! Thanks again, Scott!

Excellent service. We have been putting off tree removal because we were worried about proximity to the house and lack of access to the backyard but Wendell Tree knew exactly what they were doing and everything went very smoothly. Scott was very helpful and knowledgeable in all aspects of trees and landscaping and we ended up doing more than originally planned. I will not hesitate to call Wendell first when we need work in the future. Very reasonable prices as well. Definitely recommend.

I am a returning customer of Wendel Tree & Landscaping. Last spring we had multiple trees removed and spring clean up which made my backyard look like an entirely new yard. This year we had spring clean up and are having shrub removal. I will continue to use their services each year. They are professional and do great work.



I agree with the reviewers who mentioned that Wendel Tree & Landscaping is a great value. The prices are appropriate for the amount of work that they do and they do a great job. They are straight forward, no sales pitch, very friendly and easy to work with. The owners also check in with you to make sure that you are satisfied. I also like that when you give them the go-ahead they can do the work without you being home. That way you don't have to take time off of work to get the job done. We are always very impressed.

My wife called me while I was working to tell me that a large maple in our backyard had started to uproot and was severely leaning toward our house. Unable to leave work I started calling tree companies in the area. Two of the places I called went to voicemail and another said they could probably take the tree down the next day. Not an option. It would be on my house by then.



Next I called Wendel and talked to Scott. I explained to him the situation and how promptly it needed to be attended to. He said he'd be over in 30 minutes. With this kind of being an emergency, I was worried about getting an outrageous quote. I didn't have much choice, it had to come down.



Scott got to my house within 30 minutes and gave me a call. I was quite happy with the price he gave me and I told him to take the tree down. Within a couple of hours the tree was down. Scott and his crew did an excellent job. They even blew wood chips and sawdust off of my roof.



Needless to say, I highly recommend Wendel Tree. I won't bother calling anyone else in the future.

Just had Wendel Tree Service come out and do the real serious professional tree trimming that couldn't do. I watched the crew close as they worked and was very impressed with the care they took to protect my house as they took down many branches over my two story home. A very fair price for an outstanding job. I now have picked my "Arborist" for all my home needs. They are coming out later this Fall to do more trimming of my very large Maples.

The trees in our yard needed pruning, shaping and elevating. Scott, one of the owners, gave a very reasonable price after a very detailed walk around, the workers were very knowledgeable, and took great pride in the finished look of the trees and the clean up was super. They completed the project in a very timely manner as promised. They even did some extra shrub removal. I would highly recommend this local company as real professionals in their field.

The spring clean up plus a tree and stump removal was over and above my expectations. After renting out our home for several years, our yard was in sore need of attention. We usually like to do our own work, but decided to get help to get started. Thank goodness we did! The owner of Wendel Tree and Landscaping came out to give estimates and advice. The prices were very reasonable. The tree removal was a bargain for what they did! No trouble to take the tree down (right next to my neighbor's basketball hoop and car), and when they came back, my gosh that stump grinder was awesome. You can't even tell we'd had a huge tree there. The owner came in with several employees (good guys, too) and dug out sod for my landscaping, did the clean up not only exactly as we had agreed on (leaving some things that we wished to do ourselves) but also did that little extra for our neglected yard that was such a pleasant surprise. The whole place was beautifully raked and even when they left. Really fast, professional work. I highly recommend this company!

I had Wendel Tree & Landscape come out and remove a stump in my backyard (a rather large stump too!) These guys are incredibly fair priced. I priced a few other places, before calling them back on their quote, and I can tell you, other places were charging DOUBLE what Scott Wendel quoted me.



They came to the house Same Day! they were in and out, not a lot of noise, and my kids were thoroughly entertained by stump grinder. :)



If I could give them 10 stars, I would!!! Thanks so much guys for making my backyard a little more safe my kids!
