I think Sharon, Emilee, and Jenniffer are all the same illiterate, bitter person. Don't listen to her. Roanoke Pharmacy is great!

I have been using Roanoke Pharmacy for almost a year. I recently decided after all the opportunities they have had to do business with me, they no longer deserve my custom, or my money. I fill a lot of scripts every month, all varied and all necessary. I have several different discount cards on file and am amazed at how frequently they leave one or more discounts off my bill. I questioned them in this regard and they had no satisfactory answer. I am assuming that with the frequency with which they have "conveniently" forgotten them that this is unfortunately, deliberate.
I spoke at length with the card help-desk personnel and they told me that this is an ongoing issue. They receive many many calls daily from distraught customers demanding to know why their medicines are so expensive. A lot of times the those customers are aged and on very limited budgets and have little to no discretionary money for extra pharma costs. Shame on the Pharmacy in these cases.
I would have hoped a small business like Roanoke Pharmacy would value their customers more than this.
On further research I learned that the pharmacy only receives payment for the discount amounts from the card companies once per month and it may take longer for reimbursement depending on when the bill is processed.
Unfortunately the Roanoke Pharmacy preferred to lose my many expensive monthly prescriptions to save a few dollars in processing and patience.
If I had more time and patience I would write further on the lack of customer care from the older man who completes the billing and tell you how rude and condescending he can be, but that, alas, is another issue for another day.

I have a compounded thyroid med that I pick up here monthly. Every time I go in the staff is pleasant and welcoming. They have excellent customer service and their gift shop is lovely! Great place to pick up unique gifts.

I know my pharmacy tech friends say how hard their job is and if they didn't do it properly we could all die of an overdose or weird drug interaction so anyone who is using a pharmacy should shut up and take what we get. However some times people are just plain not cut out for their jobs. If I come to you to fill my scripts and tell you I will be back in 3.5 hours that should be plenty of time to do your job properly. When I get there and you can't locate one of the four then tell me only two are ready I'm only going to have so much patients. When you finally locate the missing script under the wrong name I'm going to begin to question your ability to do your job. When you interrupt the tech helping me to contradict what she said then the two of you stand there passive aggressively giving one another the stink eye I'm going to question your professionalism. When you take an extra hour to fill the 2 scripts you were "working on" when I arrived at the agreed upon time I'm going to question your time management skills and maybe your integrity. When you fail to take my script savings card into account when billing I'm going to question your sanity when YOU look at ME like I've inconvenienced YOU. I don't care how many times you say you'll "have to do the billing ALL over again for me to get my discount" that still doesn't make it my problem that YOU did it wrong to begin with!! When you lose one of my scripts during the process of "rebooting everything" I'm just going to assume you're an idiot at this point! Finally when all this is done and I've spent an extra hour waiting on you to get your act together and you need 5 more minutes to mix the meds I'm going to decide this place is not worth wasting time on anymore. So dear CVS in Roanoke, next time I'll just use Walmart!
