Both of my high school students are tutored there- one for Math and one for Spanish. They both went once or twice a week all of this last school year. The tutors have been great. Wonderful attitudes, encouraging, positive and knowledgeable. Lorna, the owner, and her office manager, Ulla, are friendly and professional. They have both been very accommodating to try to re-schedule my kids when their busy high school schedules required them to miss a session. I recommend this business very highly. By the way, my kids attended most of the camps when they were little and learned a lot and had fun at all of them.

I called My Learning Studio to verify pricing information and detail on the school teaching process. The information I did not get. Instead, Lorna, the owner, delivered the most condescending speech I've heard in my life; in relation to parenting and my educational readiness to help my children. She sounds like an extremely arrogant person that most likely did not realize that such lack of people skills will be perceived negatively. I don't see the benefit of making people feel ignorant and inadequate. Given that Lorna is the business owner I have to wonder how the learning process at My Learning Studio is presented to the kids.

The owner is very difficult to negotiate with when it comes to working out the kinks in her customers schedules, you may be subjected to her formal ways of making policy as she goes. She certainly needs help in customer service, perhaps schedule herself a tutoring session? She rolls her eyes, sighs loudly, gives customers the glare of a demon, and implies adjectives of profanity to describe customers. Perhaps it be her zeal to earn a quick buck in this rough economy or her stubbornness, she is unpleasant to approach. It would be to the benefit of customers to avoid enrolling unless they have their lives perfectly planned out 6 weeks ahead of time, any changes may unleash fury.
