When I first contacted Riverside Dental Associates several years ago, they said they had evening appointments for general dentistry. This was hardly ever the case when we tried to schedule an evening apt--one dentist worked one night and was booked many months in advance. Also, DAR has cancelled appointments within days of the appointment at great inconvenience to their customers. When pressed for a suitable alternative this last time, the office manager suggested that I either take the one opening they had that day (I could not take time off work at a drop of a hat to suit her schedule) or a 7 a.m. the following day or find another dentist. The fact that I asked for a time that would work more with my schedule seemed to be an inconvenience. When I expressed reasonable frustration with the jam they put me in (no raised voice no foul language) I was branded belligerent and the Office Manager contacted my dental provider and dropped me from their client roster that morning.



The front office is certainly not customer service oriented and the staff have the attitude that their clients should work around the DAS schedule--take it or leave it. Well, I am now looking for another dentist.



Shame on Dental Associates of Riverside. Your clients are busy people and not there to serve you. When you cancel an appointment, you could at least try to find another mutually acceptable time. When I elevated this experience to the GM of operations, she was unsympathetic, gave many excuses and generally defended her staff. Sorry to see that poor customer service goes up to the top. After 30+ minutes of discussion with this GM, it was clear that she would not offer a solution or a mutually agreeable time. She finally said that she'd look into it. I haven't heard back. However, the damage was already done by her Office Manager with my insurance.



The only redeeming factor at DAR is that their Orthodontist and the Orthodontist's office staff (which are different from the DAR front office staff). Dr. Stockdale and his staff are professional, genuinely kind, considerate and personable.

RIP OFF

This place is a rip off, i went to take my grandma to have them sand down her dentures, and i paid cash. Little did i know i ended up with a $600 bill after the visit. I was shocked. They took xrays and he did not tell me that they were going to charge for that, i thought it was just normal procedure..but there was no need for that xray. personally i think they did everything they can to make the bill be more money. I could have paid $30 with another dentist that did not have a "Nice Office"... I also have other bad experiences with this place that i dont want to share. But this visit was my last!!! If i were you, i would stay away!!!
