The first Waffle House restaurant was opened on Labor Day in 1955 in Avondale Estates, Ga. Since then, it has grown into a chain of more than 1,500 company and franchise-owned casual restaurants in over 25 U.S. states. It serves a variety of waffles, steaks, omelets, hamburgers, country ham, pork chops and grits. The restaurant serves specialty dishes, such as Bert's chili, Walt s soup, Alice s iced tea and Lib's patty melt. It offers hash browns in eight different ways. Waffle House serves more than 3 million pounds of grits each year and over 10,000 T-bone steaks each day. Apart from serving food, the restaurant supports various health and human service organizations, youth and education programs, and disadvantage and other civic causes. It conducts in-house events and programs, such as The Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-off and the Waffle House World Waffle Eating Championship.

To the person who posted the "good food" review...I can already tell just by the way you were talking who your waitress was that night. I am proud to say we have since then let her go. If you have the chance, I work most 2nd shifts (2pm-9pm). Feel free to come by and ask for Angel and see what REAL good service is. Have a wonderful day, come by and see us sometime! :)

good food

I love waffle house, yet was disappointed this time. I have just relocated to Richmond, and the night we got in I told my husband I wanted to go to Waffle house in the morning. So that is what we did! The service was slow the food was just okay, and the waitress was to busy flirting with the male customers at the bar seats. The coffee was barely warm. If they just paid more attention to the service and presentaion they would probably have more than the five costomers they had then. When we first sat down the table wasn't real clean. Also the bathroom wasn't very clean either. How about cleaning up and paying attention to your customers!!
