The people cussed at me, locked me out of my paid storage and charged me a late fee when I paid on time. Terrible people running this place.

I am currently storing a boat at bernie's Clearwater Mini Storage. I went there yesterday to access my unit in order to sell my boat and upon trying to enter via my passcode the machine said I was locked out of my unit due to non payment. They recently changed there system and now only accept payments via mail, since the change occurred this month and without notice, i called bernie and he told me approximately two weeks ago since they had just changed it to just mail it in and he wouldn't charge a late fee. I mailed in my payment two weeks ago. After realizing i was locked out of the storage unit I pay for i respectfully called the manager listed on the business card, Shawna davis. She answered the phone and told me I hadn't paid them at all and that I also needed to pay a late fee. Since i had payed and they also assured me i wouldn't get charged a late fee, I asked her why I was locked out of my storage unit, why I was seeing a pending late fee, and if she could let me in to my unit. She then began told me that if I didn't like the procedure they had put in place to "fuck off" and hung up on me. Being a business owner myself I was shocked by this and called back to see if maybe she hung up accidently. She answered and told me she wasnt going to do anything for me and that if i didn't like it to again "fuck off" and call the police. I then called the police thinking maybe it was illegal to refuse me access to my property and they came out and talked to her and she told them she wouldn't open the gate and that it would take an additional two weeks to process my payment because that was the new procedure. Feeling very disrespected and only wanting to access my property i then proceeded to call Bernie and tell him what had occurred. He told me that his manager did nothing wrong and we wouldn't gain access to our unit.
