Established in 1968, Procter R. Hug Secondary School is a public high school offering education to students in grades nine through 12. The school is located in Reno, Nev., and is a part of the Washoe County School District. The school offers college preparatory courses in various subjects, including English, language arts, computer, health education, mathematics, science, social studies, technology and world languages. It also provides physical education and the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps program. It additionally offers honors, advanced placement and International Baccalaureate programs in various subjects, such as American history, United States government, humanities and world history. The school also offers special education services for students with mental retardation, hearing and speech impairments, and physical and learning disabilities. It provides various athletic programs, such as cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis and volleyball. The school also offers libraries, extracurricular activities and counseling services.
