Futon-Ya is run by this Chinese lady, Irene. She is a throwback to the days of when the people you bought from were directly connected to the responsibility of the store. She's a tough business woman, but do not confuse "tough" with "difficult."



We walked in after having gone through one more conventional mattress that was worthless in 2 years despite having cost multi-thousands of dollars. We told her that we wanted a king-size futon for everyday sleeping, that could be rebuilt every couple of years at a reasonable cost.



She said that she could have just what we want made. When was the last time you enjoyed a purchase so much that you actually went back into the store to tell them how pleased you were a month later?

THE QUALITY OF FUTONS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE AND JUNK! THE BIGGEST RIP OFF! STAY AWAY!!!

The owner, Irene assured us that the quality would be better than any other furniture store. When the product arrived I had to drive 40 miles to get as she claimed she could not deliver. When I arrived we had to load it in my SUV!! She had no one else to help us. When my husband went to assemble the futon we realized that we had purchased JUNK! Several holes needed to be redrilled and then a key piece to the futon did not have holes to line up! My husband called her and she told him she would have the part ready for me when I came back into town. I went back to the store (another 45 minute drive) and I was VERY upset. Upon arriving, she had NO IDEA that I needed the part! Irene assured me she would get the part in and also assured me she would financially compensate me for the junk she sold me. My husband and I made the trip down again a week later and FUNNY she completely denied that she said she would refund some of our money for the JUNK she sold us. This place is an absolute scam. She does not speak fluent English and uses that as a crutch to lie about her product and services. DO NOT BE SCAMMED. I plan on filing a huge complaint to the Better Business Bureau in hopes people STOP purchasing the poor quality junk she sells. She completely took advantage of me and my family and I plan on making sure no one else goes through this. She should not be a business owner! She has NO idea what customer service is. It is really quite pathetic that she has her own business. We now have to take apart the futon and reassemble the part, as she told us to make our own holes so we could use it in the meantime, as she has a 7 day refund policy!!!!! HER WEBSITE SAYS 100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION GUARANTEE WHICH IS A COMPLETE JOKE!!!!! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO GUARANTEE!
