You Don't Want to Live Here, Believe Me!

These Senior apartments are run by a company named Pinnacle. They have staff working there that are young and who either do not know how to work with older people or don't want to learn. They wlll take every dime they can get out of you. There are so many rules that it is like living in a prison. They portray it as a 'happy community where everyone gets along and we're all like family', but that's a lie. People there gossip and tell lies about each other. I have had nothing but a bad experience living here and I am not the only one. As fast as people move in, more move out. They cannot keep their apartments full. People moving in find out in about a month what it's REALLY like to live here, and if they have the money, they move right away. The worst of it is the staff. The maintenance staff's main job is to 'spy' on tenants and report to the Community Manager about how people are living. They report whay your apartment looks like, where you keep things, if it's clean enough. And armed with that ammunition, the Community Manager comes into your life and bullies, threatens, harasses and flat out tries to scare you to death. She loves to get people in a place to where you feel powerless and she can go to work on you. She charges you for items that are part of the company doing business ($21 service fee for court employee to hand you (serve you)a notice of eviction - the company pays, then she takes it back from you. It is NOT an Attorney Fee, which is the only way she could charge you for it.)

Whatever you do, do not move to this place. You are required to provide 60 days paid, written notice before you can leave. If you terminate your lease early, they charge you for two month's rent, any 'amenity' they may have given you during the year (when you sign your lease for another year, they give you $100 off your rent. You leave early, you owe it back.) There are various, unexplained fees that only come to light when you are trying to move out. We are Seniors, and as such, we should be treated with some caring and respect. Most of us have nothing but the little bit of Social Security we get and CitiVista does its best to take as much of that from you as they can.
