Summer 2012, we finally decided to bite the bullet and do something about our “ugly” backyard. We love to entertain and it was time to design a backyard that allowed us to enjoy our time outside more. We called a few companies and were disappointed that so many of them did not provide the actual landscape design services. Most just wanted to know your budget and a few questions and came back with a bid. Our backyard has major slopes being on a hill and we really wanted to explore how to get the most from our space without having to take the entire back hill away. We then called Landsystems, as we could see they were doing work for a neighbor. Tim and Kelly (Tim Vine owner and Kelly Lau, our designer) provided a very thorough Consultation spending time with us to get to know them, as well as to bring us to other properties “in process” and ”finished” to get a real idea of their work. This made us comfortable so we engaged them for the design



They have been great to work with during the design process, working collaboratively with us to understand our hopes/desires for the backyard while of course being mindful of our budget. Our design services resulted in a very detailed visual document of the future backyard as well as detailed planting and building specifications. The level of detail makes us feel like we really understand what to expect and helps make sure we are aligned on the project.



Given our good experience with the consultation and design services, we also chose to move forward with Landsystems for the execution of the build. We’ve just begun so far so good, so stayed tuned.

We started working with the Landsystems team in an effort to create a more usable backyard and a better looking front yard. We had drainage problems and were eager to get the problem solved. After working backing and forth with Tim and his team to solidify the design and drainage plan we have kicked off the project. Demolition went quickly and very efficiently. The same, nice men showed up consecutive days and cleaned up after themselves so as not to disrupt our home any more than was necessary. We begin the drainage portion of the project next week and are very excited about the end result. Landsystems has been helpful, problem solvers who worked with us to create a plan that worked within our budget. I am looking forward to the other portions of the project.

My husband and I just finished the design of our backyard in Redwood City with Tim & Landsystems Landscapes and are SO excited for landsystems to start our project this week! We are thrilled with our design (super cool), and the entire Landsystems team has been amazing throughout this process. My favorite part of working with the team is that they are so helpful and so right-on about keeping things on your budget (whatever that might be). I absolutely recommend them to anyone in the bay area looking to get any work landscape work done, big or small.

I built our house about 7 years ago and have done 3 or 4 phases of landscaping. We have used Landsystems for all of the design and build tasks. We started with an overall, complete master plan and then filled in the phases over time. It has come out beautiful. We landscaped about an acre of our three acre property and Landsystems' design turned out like a park. A pool and sand volleyball court are surrounded by flagstone paths, gardens and grass. Plants bloom at different times so some color is always present. Thanks Landsystems!

Landsystems did an extensive landscaping job for us several years ago, including some substantial hardscaping; two patios and a landscaped stone terrace. The drainage design was complicated, partly due to local zoning requirements, and it did take a few tries to get it right, but they persevered until it was done. The landscaping has held up well over the years, and I particularly like the yearly review - it ensures that we take the opportunity to replace plants or make changes as needed. I would recommend them.

This is a quality full service landscaping service. I have used them for design, installation, and maintenance. Recently, the maintenance crew has not been as good as they have been in the past, but I would still recommend them.
