Very over-priced diagnostic services and did not solve issue or provide a professional estimate of repair, only verbal "guess" of may be to the problem after paying almost $1000!

I called to get some help about a sewer line backing up at my home... I already had 3 other company's at my house over the last week and I already knew I had a collapsing pipe that needed fixing. I was told that they were they only ones that do a service calling pipe bursting (later I found out there are others that do this service) --it's a trench less pipe repair -- anyways, the lady wouldn't help me without charging me a dispatch service. All I was asking for was a wide range of approx pricing so I could make a decision on whether I wanted to complete this service or just dig down and make the 2 foot repair. After not helping and being rude when asking a couple of times, I asked for the owner to call me. She took my number down but no one ever called.

There are other plumbers in town that will help and give advice. If I were you, I find someone else...

Price gouging, unethical business practices. Look elsewhere. I was told by Brown's my septic system needed a very expensive repair that another local septic system company examined and told me that no such repairs were required.

We were very happy with our experience with Brown plumbing, we had a clogged sewer line and they were able to find the problem and fix it very quickly. We would use them again.

Go somewhere else! Overpriced ...

Go somewhere else! Overpriced (gouging?), chaged by the hour, and they worked VERY SLOWLY! Using their "state of the art electronic leak detection" equipment, they marked the water line from the meter into the house, and I found out when using a different plumber to repipe our house that the water line actually went a DIFFERENT DIRECTION. My plumber wasted a couple hours digging a hole where Browns markings showed the water line to be, then used their own equipment to find the line 20 feet east of that point. (and he did NOT charge me for that wasted time).

Browns estimate was almost $10,000 to repipe the entire house, the plumber I used finished for right at $3,000.

(I also wonder if "LisaAnne11" works for Browns, a 5-star rating with no comments, and a separate review from her for a Lawyer while she was in Jail in Sacramento?)

Our bad experience with Brown ...

Our bad experience with Brown Plumbing: A plumber from Brown came out to fix a

clogged drain with their snake. Initially, it seemed to work and we paid him $225....that seemed a bit high but at least it was fixed. But then and hour later, the drain clogged up again....it was not fixed.

The plumber came out a second time and determined that the snake this company had was not long enough for this job and our only alternative was to have some kind of hydro jetting done to our pipes......that was going to cost about $1000.00!!!...What??!!

So, we said...."No."

We called around and found another plumber who owned a longer snake. When he

arrived the first thing he said before even starting was that if this snaking doesn't work he would Not charge us anything for this visit!!

He then proceeded to snake the pipes and ....lo and behold...it worked and has been

clear for weeks now.....the problem was fixed and bill for that was only $89.00!!!!

Plus, he gave us a 120 day warrenty for this service....none of that was offered by

Brown.

So....we called Brown back and asked for a partial refund since we paid for a drain to be unclogged and they were unable to do the job. It took about 7 phone calls before we actually talked to the owner, who clearly hoped we would go away. We didn't even ask for a full refund....all we wanted was about half back or $100.00 out of the $225 that we paid for basically nothing. He finally agreed to a refund of $29.00 ....and that's what we got back....$29.00. They have certainly lost our business and probably the many others who know this story.....I hope Brown Plumbing thought it was worth it.

By the way, the plumber himself, who came out, was courteous and professional.....the problem, for us, exists with the owner of this company.
