A package was shipped to me 2nd day air. It was a monthly fruit gift from my daughter. The driver came to my to my town and spent about an hour there delivering stuff, then turned around and went back to his home base, claiming "extreme weather". There was no wind and approximately 1&1/2" of fresh snow, hardly extreme weather for a "supposed" professional driver in South Dakota. I live about 6 miles from town so it would have taken about 15 minutes to bring the package out. Instead he headed home at 3pm. I called and complained and got no where.
Today he showed up with the package which has a notice on it to "call or ring bell". He did neither; just left the package at the front door. Luckily I saw his truck going down the driveway and retrieved the package before the contents froze. UPS service used to be good. It certainly has gone downhill.
