Dr. Kelly performed PRK (laser corrective surgery) on both of my eyes about six weeks ago. I opted for the procedure in hopes of freeing myself from contacts lenses and glasses. While nervous at first, Dr. Kelly, his partner Dr. Smolenyak and their staff made me confident that I had a good chance of eliminating my need for corrective eye wear. I elected to proceed with the surgery and the results were amazing! I'm 20/15 (better than 20/20) with both eyes. I was pretty blurry at first and had some mild to moderate irritation/ tearing for a couple days. It was totally worth it. I see better now than I ever did with my contacts. The hardest part of the whole experience has been getting used to NOT putting in/ taking out my contacts. What a fun habit that has been to break. Dr. Kelly and his team were informative, reassuring and professional throughout my evaluation, procedure and post-operative appointments. Thanks so much.

The optician there, David Mason, has consistently treated me with great condescension. Five years ago, he called me to apologize for his insulting comments and condescending, demeaning treatment, but he has always been the same since I met him the first time. Yesterday I went to see the optometrist and all went well till it came to David Mason the optician. He messed with my glasses, scratched the right lens, made fun of my for not wanting his adjustment of frame, which I never asked for in the first place, made fun of me for not buying the progressive lens which the doctor himself never recommended. As we compared prices later, he was 80 dollars more expensive while pretending that he was giving me a "discount". Over the past 5 years, it has been an extremely negative, stressful experience and I am going to see another optometrist, definitely another optician. Checking our eyes should not be a demeaning or belittling experience, much less a stressful one.

I have been a patient of the Kelly Eye Center for years (5+). the staff is amazing, caring, attentive and highly skilled. Dr. Kelly is likewise a terrific physician, very caring, takes time to discuss all queries and concerns and is very relaxed which helps patients relax in frequently difficult situations. Waiting times, a frequent complaint with physicians, seem non-existent -- arrive, sit down and get called in immediately. In addition the on-site glasses providing department is very competent, completive price-wise, finds discounts through insurance, and gets complicated prescriptions right the first time.
