The Clocksmith repaired our Sligh Grandfather clock and provided full detailed instructions on the proper way to care for it after repair. We really loved that we called them as other clock shops we less personable and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend The Clocksmith for the repair of your clock. Catherine 3/5/15 EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! My Howard Miller grandfather clock stop running and needed a complete overhaul. Bryan did a fantastic job. He arrived on time for our scheduled appointment, explained in detail what the repair would entail, gave us a price, and returned it per the anticipated time frame. Not only did he follow up with two additional house calls, for leveling issues, but he did it with A SMILE! Bryan Smith is not only a true professional, he is also very personable. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE CLOCKSMITH!

I took my clock to several clock shops to get an idea of what it might cost to repair my Howard Miller mantel clock. The Clocksmith, Bryan was the only clock repairman willing to open the clock up in front of me and give me an estimate. AND not only did he give a good price, he repaired it right in front of me! Thanks so much for great service and I will be bringing him more of my clocks to repair in the near future. *Beware some of the other shops-one of the owners doesn't even know how to repair these clocks!

Promised to come by an look at a 1835 Seth Thomas that's stopped running. Never did.

I did not realize when I brought my 50plus Seth Thomas ships clock to Bryan for repair that he had cleaned it 13 years before when he was located on Hillsborough St in Raleigh. He remembered the clock. That's impressive (until he said that all reputable jewelers leave a mark on their work). Anyway, he gave me a more than far quote, did the work in good time, and placed the clock in perfect working order "for at last another 15 years". Bryan is one impressive clock smith. He loves to talk about his work and has the patience to describe in detail how my clock worked, what needed to be done and estimated cost (which he honored at the conclusion of the work). His shop, in his home, is filled with clocks of all kinds, ticking happily away. (or he will come to your home). I recommend him highly to anyone who has a clock they value. He will do right by it and you.

I wanted to get my old (120+ years) E.n. Welch mantle clock, which I inherited from my grandfather, in good working order. I knew it needed an overhaul, but I wanted to make sure it was done right. I remember, as a child, seeing my granddad wind this clock and hearing it gong the time, so it had sentimental value as well. Bryan was extremely helpful, as he took the time to tell me what work my clock needed and what he would do, while he examined it on the bench. I could tell Bryan loved his work and knew his clocks. I felt completely confident my clock would get the absolute best, and I was not disappointed. Bryan went above and beyond to give my clock the TLC it was in need of. The Welch runs like a new one and keeps great time. It is such a pleasure to hear it striking the hour. I have since brought Bryan other clocks from my family as I highly recommend him to all.

After searching the internet for a business to work on an old German grandfather clock we recently inherited from my husband's family, I found The Clocksmith. I phoned The Clocksmith one night, actually expecting to get a recorded message; however, I had the oppportunity to arrange an appointment with Bryan Smith. Bryan arrived at my house on time, was extremely professional, and definitely expressed a love and knowledge of clocks. Bryan performed the clock maintenance on both the grandfather clock and cuckoo clock we own. As he was working on the clocks, Bryan shared information with me about my clocks and how to care for them. I'm thrilled that after two days the grandfather clock, which hadn't been used in about six years, is keeping perfect time. I feel Bryan Smith is an honest businessman and I highly recommend him.

Bryan treated my father's timepiece like it was his own, taking the time to explain what he would need to do so as to restore it to working order, completing the repairs in a timely fashion and providing information on minor adjustments required once I brought it home.



I have two other clocks that have been in my family for three generations and will be taking them to him, as well. Highly recommended!!!

Bryan was awesome and so knowledgeable about my grandmother clock. I inherited it from my grandmother who has passed away, so it was very special and sentimental to me. It had not worked in a long time but Bryan delicately and carefully repaired it in a short time and returned it to me in perfect working order. He even showed me all about my clock and how to take good care of it for the future. He gave excellent customer care and I highly recommend him for any clock work you may need. We have had such a delightful experience with The Clocksmith.  Bryan has worked on 2 old clock for us.  The convenience of pick up and delivery is really great.  But best of all is Bryan.  It is so evident that he loves clocks and enjoys working on them.  He gives you the history of your clocks and helps you appreciate them even more.  It has just been a delightful experience working with him.  We would recommend him to anyone.

We just moved to Raleigh NC from New York and needed our antique clock set up and serviced. When we called Bryan The Clocksmith he was extremely knowledgeable about our clock just from the description over the phone. When he arrived for the appointment., on time, he started setting up and servicing the clock. He notice the movers had damaged part of the pendulum. Bryan was able to repair the pendulum right there. PLUS he when he got the clock running, he professionally timed it. When we were in NY the clock was losing about 4 minutes a week, now it keeps perfect time!!! Excellent customer service and professionalism from Bryan. We would highly recommend him!
