Our evening was about the same...

Our evening was about the same as the earlier posts. We had to wait 45 minutes for service which never came on its own. My husband had to chase down the manager and after that we still had to wait another 30 minutes for the bartender to help us because the waitress was 'overwhelmed'. By the time we were able to order, the menu we had was no longer being used due to the late hour. The atmosphere was nice, the band was o.k., the drinks are over priced and the service is horrible. Don't waste your time if you are hungry.

I took my boyfriend for his birthday. We had fun, however it was $50 for one lane and it was only for an hour. With 3 of us playing we were able to get in a game and 1/2.

DON'T BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME OR MONEY

I had called a few weeks in advance for a private party on March 12, 2011 for my husbands 30th Birthday. I was expecting great service but instead got a waitress I had to hunt down for drinks and lanes that kept malfunctioning. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I paid in advance $300.00 to rent 2 lanes for 3 hours from 11pm-2am and we got there at 11 and didn't get started bowling until around 11:30 they put us in a suite that was nice but one of the lanes kept malfunctioning, after we complained several times they switched our lanes to the other 2 in the suite. Our waitress was AWFUL she never smiled once and we all kept running out of drinks and then would have to hunt her down to order them and it still took forever for them to get there. At 12:50 they came in and said last call because of the time change and that is was a law when the time change doesn't even go into effect until 2am which I pointed out. They told me we could bowl until 2am since I had already paid for it but the bar was closing. By this time everyone in our group was pissed off but I had already paid for everything before we arrived or we would have left. I will NEVER return to this place or recommend this to anyone. Customer service was horrible as was the service a pretty place can't make up for that. This place ruined my husbands 30th birthday.

Waste of time

I made reservations for a party of 35 at Sparians 3 weeks in advance. I received a call from management the night before the event asking me to make changes to my reservations. They called me back 4 hours later and said they realized they can still assist me and I can keep my reservations. The day of the event February 19, 2011, I had my entire party of 35 people there and they told me my reservations had been cancelled. We were supposed to eat and bowl. They told me it would be a 3 to 4 hour wait. I saw some available tables and available bowling lanes. I asked mgmt if they would split my group, so we could still eat and bowl. They told us they would not be able to give us a sufficient time line of when we could be seated or bowling until every one that was in line have gotten tables. We waited an hour and they still said it maybe 3 or 4 hours before we could be seated or could bowl. We saw other people walk in without reservations and get a table and a lane. We finally were fed up, and told the management we would leave if nothing were available soon. They said “ok leave”. As we left, we saw 4 lanes available with no one bowling and a significant amount of tables available. The location was not packed at the time we were there. My party of 35 was willing to pay the ridiculous prices for food and bowling. The management and customer service was horrible. The location is pretty but their service, high prices, and customer care is horrible. If they do not change the way they treat their customers, and make adjustments to their prices, they will not be in business long.

SO not worth it!

PROS: Atmosphere is AMAZING.



CONS:

We arrived at 8:00 and immediately put our names down for bowling. Once we were sat in the waiting area/food tables, NOONE came to wait on us! Finally after going to the bar on our own (to purchase drinks that turned out to be WAY OVER PRICED) the "head waitress" came over and asked if we had been waited on. We told her no, and she ran off to find our server....the server NEVER came and the so called HEAD WAITRESS never came back either. At around 10:30 we went back to check to see if were were going to be bowling anytime soon, and were told that we still had a page and a half of people ahead of us, and that at 10:30 pm they were still trying to get people bowling that had been waiting since 6PM. Are you serious?!?! Absolutly ridiculous! We were handed a free bowling pass for one game and four people, which we will NOT be using because you can only go during the work week, during work hours. The manager was not apathetic and did not seem to care that we, along with numerous other groups, had basically wasted our night away waiting to bowl. Maybe they sucked so bad because they were newly open? Either way for as much hype as the place had had and as much attention that had been placed on the grand opening, they should have had staff there that new what they were doing, instead of having a bunch of teeny-boppers who looked like deer in headlights. Needless to say, we will not be returning. Buffalo Lanes is the place to go :)
