New Ownership Has Turned It Around!

I went to Serenity because the new owner is someone who has been doing my nails for about two years and I won't go to anyone else. After living in Morrisville for 11 years and going to seven or eight different nail places, I have found that she is the best. I went in for a pedi, SNS manicure and an eyebrow wax. One of the other technicians did my pedi and did a wonderful job. The owner did my mani and wax and, as always, did a perfect job. Three other technicians were also very friendly and welcoming, making conversation with me even though they weren't working on me. I had never been to Serenity before but the atmosphere was a lot more soothing, relaxing and quieter than my former nail salon. Under the new ownership I know that the cleanliness, friendly environment, and excellent service will continue, which is why I continue to go to her.

This was the most horrific exp...

This was the most horrific experience I have ever had in any nail salon. I went for a mani and peed and a number of things went wrong. I tried to overlook the weird setup and old look of the place. 1) they did not clean under my toe nails 2) the nail tech was so rough on my cuticles (hand and feet) that when I used my hand sanitizer at dinner that night my hands were burning badly from the nips. 3) they tried to dip my foot in a bin of paraffin wax which is BEYOND unsanitary, it's dangerous LORD ONLY KNOWS how many others have dipped their foot in this wax and what-if they had fungus or anything on their toes...and since they don't clean your feet very well their was dirt floating in the wax. 4) when I sat down for my manicure there was no water to soak my nails in to soften/ clean them 5) when he took my polish off he ran the same cotton ball under my nail basically pushing the dirt further up into my nail rather than using the proper tool to remove the dirt from my nails 6) this is by far the worse with the exception of #3 he wiped his running nose with his hand and then continued to do my "manicure" and I swear I felt his wet snot on my hand *shivvers* 7) when it came time for him to massage my hand he tried to do it with cuticle softener 8) wait i almost forgot that he tried to use a drill to remove glitter from my NATURAL NAIL. *A mani-pedi is supposed to be a positive, relaxing experience but I didn't feel relieved or relaxed until it was over and I could race to the sink to use the antibacterial soap*
