I had been going to Beverly Na...

I had been going to Beverly Nails (Falls of Neuse location) for several months for my pink & white fill-ins & was fairly happy with their service....nothing to rave about, just decent service. Okay, I'll be honest, their prices were the biggest draw. Last week, however, I came in for my pink & white fill-in & was assigned Lien who apparently is their only waxing technician. Unfortunately for me, each time a customer walked in wanting her eyebrows waxed, Lien would leave me sitting for 10 minutes at a time while she took care of the waxing clients. (HELLLLLO, customer sitting here.....she came in first.....you're supposed to be providing a service?? Oh, I'm sorry, it's more important to walk away & take care of the ladies who want waxing...let's not make them wait. Heaven forbid!) After the third time of Lien doing this, when she returned I asked her if she was the only person able to do waxing. I was understandably annoyed, but not rude. Lien apparently didn't like being called out of what she'd done, so she proceeded to get snotty (& loud) which lead me to get snotty back which lead to her packing up her filing tools & walking away. Yeah....there I was with 3 fingers with white tips, no where close to being finished with my pink & white manicure. The manager walked by (pretending to not have a clue that Lien had shown her behind) so I point blank asked him why they would assign Lien manicure customers if she would leave them to attend to the waxing customers....it just didn't make sense. It didn't seem fair to the manicure customer NOR fair to Lien to be pulled in 2 different directions. I also asked him if he thought it was appropriate for Lien to just walk away from doing my manicure & his response was, "Well, when she get mad you can't talk to her." HA! What a joke of a manager. That's how you run a business? Let the nail technician cop an attitude with a customer & then not finish a service because she's mad? I was beyond shocked. Fortunately, my story has a happy ending because I ended up going to Nail Care off of Strickland Rd. After leaving Beverly Nails, I called a friend & told her about what had happened & she recommended Nail Care. Brian answered the phone & I told him briefly what had happened & he told me to come right on over. A lovely young lady named Vee ended up re-doing my pink & while manicure (what little bit Lien had done) & it was beautiful! Best manicure I'd ever had! Nail Care is more expensive than Beverly Nails, but there is no way I'd ever return to Beverly Nails after the way Lien treated me & after seeing the manager have no backbone nor concern for good customer service. If you want cheap, get 'em in - get 'em out, no personality, disorganized, flat affect nail technicians who chatter constantly in their native tongue, Beverly Nails is the place for you. However, if you'd like more a personalized service in a relaxing environment with nail technicians who are efficient & friendly, Nail Care would be more up your alley.
