I'm sad to report that things have gone hugely down hill since the stroke. Do not bring your jewellery here unless you are willing to risk it being destroyed. Brought in an heirloom engagement ring, he overheated it and the band crumpled. In "fixing" it he filled in many of the the details in the ring with solder. My piece of fine gold jewellery was essentially destroyed, it looked like someone's first attempt at jewellery ever. It's so bad we can not salvage it and have to buy an entirely new setting. I know this was one if the best jewellers around for a long time and the loss is a real tragedy.
