A bunch or disorganized morons ,my tranny isn't working properly , got in my vehicle with greasy clothes and shoes smeared grease all over the my car ,broke a hubcap off removing wheel and they gave was excuse after excuse why they couldn't fix the problem. So if you're reading this steer clear of this place ,I wouldn't let them change the batteries out of my flashlight that's how bad they are.

6/10/13 Update. Owner called assured not trying to rip me off and have my car done this week, I agreed to retract my negative reviews on google as long as Better Rate Follows Through and I don't continue to have transmission breakdowns. Update 8/21/14 Been a year and relieved no transmission problems, I recommend Better Rate even through we had earlier conflict, owner Jim made good faith efforts.

best transmission shop in colorado!!!!! i have worked as jims office manager here at better rate for over 2 years, have known jim for over 10 years and my fiance has been better rates trany builder for approx. 10 yrs ( w/25 years exp.)Our customers are VERY important to us,especially to jim(owner of better rate)WE here at better rate, not only pride ourselves on being a very reputable and honest buisness,we are the most recommended transmission shop by our loyal customers and such dealerships as Vidmar,Southwest Motors,Spradley, Discount Motors,Classic Auto,Local motors,the Test Track and the list can go on....to EVERYONE of our customers,Jim THANKS YOU!!! A quick response to the invalid reveiws posted...there are 2 sides to every story! The TRUTH to these ridiculous UNTRUE accusations are as follows...a" toy"with no time limit, a honda that we generously gave a 2 yr.warrenty on had 2 different issues and a so called competitor that has personal issues with jim only(1 of the reviews was written by).and jim hasent had a drink for well over 10 years and firmly inforces a drug free workplace!!!! personal OPINIONS is NOT a buisness review,its slander!!!WE are far from perfect,but word of mouth,referals from prominent buisnesses,and reputation of being "the most experienced and the BEST transmission guy around" is the reason this shop will continue to be a success. Don't go there ,I had a one year warranty, the trans went bad ,the owner kept it 3 months and finnally fixed it ,when he needs the money no warranty work he gets it done in a few days,his shop is messy, his guys leave bolts loose, wires off ,you can even catch them drinking beer and who knows what else,also a friend of mine has had his honda in there 3 times in a year, takes for ever to fix each time . doesn't care about your schedule.The way he takes care of his shop is the way he takes care of you.The good revue he has is probably his own revue he did .

A neighbor recommended this place to us. Nobody else could figure out what was going on with it, and we thought we needed a completely new or rebuilt transmission. The guy looked at it for less than 5 mins, and it turned out the adjuster bands just needed to be tightened. They were very affordable too. I would recommend this place highly!

I would NEVER recommend this business to ANYONE. I had my transmission rebuilt. It has taken 3 months and back 4 times since the original work. AND it is still NOT fixed.

the 1st time the car didnt shift gears without the rpm's going way up and reverse would take a while to go into gear(had to rev it for a min)took it back he had it for 2 weeks and finally got it back.guess what,got it back and the same thing.i don't think he even looked at it.brought it in a 3rd time got it back a week later,it was a little better so we decided to deal with it.6 months down the line it would start not shifting again in warmer weather.he told us to begin with that we had a 12 month warranty but he said thats just on paper its actually guaranteed for the life of the car(his own words)we brought it in after 6 months and guess what,he didnt want to honor the warranty,he wanted more $$$.we decided to have him do it AGAIN,he called us the next day and said its not worth doing because the engine is cracked/on its way out.now did he crack the damn engine taking it in and out so many times?now i have a car with a cracked engine and semi working tranny.thanks
