FRAUD ALERT - This CPA is filing fraudulent claims with customer s information, such as inflating incomes on the returns to guarantee a larger refund for a customer, and then charging exorbitant rates to do the filing. It does not cost $600 - $1000 dollars to file a 1040 with absolutely no other documents. Someone charging you this amount is scamming, and it is illegal. It also leaves the taxpayer themselves in trouble with the IRS, because ultimately it is the taxpayer s responsibility to ensure the accuracy of their return prior to filing. DO NOT use a tax preparer who guarantees refunds of any amount. This is a common scam and this CPA and his company have filed many in the community. Please be warned.
