I had chosen to order my glasses here because it is close to home and my doctor doesn't offer glasses he gives you the script and u pick where you want to go when I went in the girl said its a simple script it would only be a week it has been a week and no glasses no updates they say they are still at the lab very dissatisfied and will not go here for another pair if I ever get my first pair!!!! Would not offer this place to anyone and will not go back

I was extremely disappointed in Dr. Sylvia. I've never worn/bought glasses before, so I had no idea the doctor was supposed to give you a prescription so you could shop around for glasses. The doctor simply gave me the eye exam and said, "Let's go out in the lobby and get you some glasses!" Nothing was ever said about a prescription, so I never knew I had a choice. Shame on me for not being better informed, but shame on Dr. Sylvia for taking advantage of me and other unsuspecting people! Now my glasses are ready to be picked up and the office is only open until 5:30 at night and not on the weekends...when am I supposed to pick up my totally overpriced glasses? Never, ever going here again!

Dr. Sylvia is awesome! Not only is she very comforting and friendly her facility is also equipped with the latest technology. The office has a great selection of glasses and the prices are affordable. I have recommended the Powhatan Family Vision Center to all of my friends and family.

My children love her. We travel over a hour to have my children eyes examined and have to return again after the glasses are ready. The time and travel is worth it because of the outstanding care my children receive. My children had a local eye doctor but when I took training to be a child vision screener I found out about this eye doctor and decided to give her a try. I was not happy with our local provider. The children love going to see their eye doctor. The office staff is so helpful. They have a new office which is very clean. They even have an aquarium with all of the "Finding Nemo" fish in it. They have a section of children's books. The doctor even takes time to talk with my children to make them at ease. I would greatly recommend her to anyone.
