I took out of town friends on Portland by Mouth's Kerns tour earlier this year. It was actually the second time I have had the tour. It is an ideal way to introduce people from out of town to the Portland food scene. Sherri, the guide, is so knowledgeable and engaging that the tour is over before you realize it. But never fear, you will be well fed with a variety of food choices undertaken progressive meal style. Since they were all so unique and delicious, it is hard for me to say which stop was my favorite. However, I do have to give a shout out to Tails and Trotters, an awesome choice featuring hazelnut finished pork in every incarnation you can imagine.
