"Furnishings with a history," is the best brief description of elliottworks' product. For nearly 30 years, long before it was trendy, Elliott has been designing and fabricating individual, attractive, functional, and refreshingly unconventional "green" furniture and other items for the home, garden and, most recently, the office. Elliott, appreciative of the demands of "small space living," can, with his innovative and aesthetically pleasing designs, help you to get the most out of the space you have, simultaneously achieving a simple yet rich-looking elegance. The reclaimed materials elliottworks employs -- a wide range of woods (always depending on what's available, of course),  tile, slate, old skate boards, wine casks, corks, rebar / wire, license plates, olive oil cans, salvaged bee boxes, copper and other metals, enameled copper insets, leather -- are further accentuated by his eye for the unusual, unexpected angle, line, or curve. Besides designing and making sustainable furnishings, Elliott is an experienced carpenter, handyman, beekeeper, and remover of unwanted bees, wasps, yellow jackets, etc.  While selling his furnishings through various local venues, he takes particular pleasure in donating furniture to be auctioned off by the Community Warehouse at their annual fundraiser, The Chair Affair. Among the items elliottworks produces: chairsdesksstoolsbookcasestables of all kindsbenches, stepschina hutchespet food containerssoil sifters / dryerstrash / recycle bins (great use for large olive oil cans)trelliseschestsframed mirrors and shadow boxescedar-lined storage boxesumbrella standsswiveling book standsgates & screen doors (including carving)garden totesmason bee tubesplant standsplantersfreestanding single- or multiple-paneled screens in a wide range of sizes  wooden puzzles children's toyshand-carved stones for the garden or front stepbulletin strips (a handy alternative to a full-size bulletin board)… among other things. Everything is made from, and inspired by, repurposed wood salvaged from remodels, mill work shops, and Dumpsters, among other places. Note: For those who love music, check out elliottworks' tables, vases, utensil holders, and CD or DVD racks made from reclaimed pipe organ flutes. When appropriate, the designs incorporate metal, salvaged from construction sites. Even more unique is his use of copper  –   as is or enameled by Elliott – as an eye-catching and satisfying highlight. Additionally, many of his pieces have an international flavor, the wood coming from all over the world: packing crates from Brazil, Mexico, Italy, and elsewhere. Nail holes, stenciling and other "flaws" are carefully preserved out of respect for the character, the history of the wood. If you’re the kind of person who appreciates, even craves furnishings that can’t be mass-produced, and that promote sustainability, then please visit www.elliottworks.com.

Elliott came up with a brilliant solution for a problem about hanging a very large mirror on my wall in a secure fashion, and in just the right place. I recommend Elliott who is very friendly, creative, professional and helpful. Bella
