I just wanted to tell my story how I lost my key to my Dodge Nitro and I couldn't get any assistance from any other dealerships until I found Hills Automotive. This isn't about a car buying experience rather than just good old friendly customer service. I lost my key and was on vacation at the Dells and it was late at night and had no way of getting into my vehicle nor getting home. Got a hold of a gentleman name "Rick" in the parts department on a Saturday and he didn't have a key but referred me to a guy who had a mobile key service that he knew and could program a key on site. Great referral saved the vacation and I couldn't thank him enough for just being honest, friendly, and he even worked with the locksmith on the phone to make sure he made it out to us. Lack of service before and after sale...



I was in the market for a specific vehicle and had come across one I was looking for online particularly from Hill Automotive. I called Hill Auto and told them I would be up the next day at 11:30am to take a look. They replied that the vehicle would be all ready and waiting.I arrived, found the truck on the lot, had to go in to find the salesman after 15 minutes at his desk. After a test drive and some inspection, the truck sold itself. Hill did put new tires on without bumping the price but it was average to high already. I asked if they would detail the vehicle (was still filthy-dirt outside to under hood) and they said that's standard protocol. When I returned next day, they had just done an exterior wash but under the hood and interior was still filthy. Had a small issue with the front end which would have been a $30 fix but got the runaround once and no return or offer to help the second time. Ended up fixing myself. Was disappointed at the lack of service at Hill...I'd say worse than Russ Darrow, where at least there they put some effort in selling the car, then ignore you after the sale. Gone are the days of the Saturn dealerships where they really treated their customers well. Props also to Symdon in Mount Horeb, they were a great help but just didn't have the vehicle I wanted.So unfortunately in regards to Hill, I would have to say avoid this dealer if you can. Unless you find the vehicle that sells itself like I did, that's about all you're going to get from Hill. I agree with the other review, price is on the high side but you would expect great personalized service in which there is none here.



Went back to get repair which they finally agreed to cover. Still did not fix the issue and no regard or compensation for time and troubles. If you want it done right, do it yourself I guess. Dealership is a disappointment all the way around.
