Didn’t have to wait to be seated. The tables seated before and after us were offered a selection of soups and I was only offered the potato soup, which the server forgot to bring including the forgotten salad that was ordered. Both were $3 extra charge with meal. The crab dip with baked bread was delicious until server told us that that the bread is old bread sliced and heated, so they don’t have to throw it away. UGH! The T-bone steak was bland and the stuffed shrimps were burnt and inedible. Again, server asked tables seated before and after us if they wanted dessert and totally forgot about us. We expected better food and service than we received. Lesson learned!

Didn't disappoint. Excellent food, great service and scenic location. Just a short drive from the Dells. Taking your family out for a steak dinner shouldn't break the bank, and it won't if you eat at Cimaroli's!

Ron and Melody Cimaroli are two of my favorite people in the world, and I have loved their restaurant from the early 70s when it was the original building to the present day new building. The food is fabulous, very reasonably priced, and they are just wonderful people. I am so sorry that Ron has passed away Melody. I will miss seeing and hearing him sing in the bar. We will see you this summer. Candy Gruman

We live in Indiana & visit Wisconsin Dells only once a year in Sept. for Festival. We Highly Recommend Cimaroli's Supper Club. Great food & drinks. Everyone is so friendly & kind. Would highly recommend the Prime Rib it'll just melt in your mouth. OH !! Onion Rings are just Wonderful. Haven't had anything that we didn't like.

I'm from Illinois and the person giving Cimaroli's a one star review is what gives us a bad name in Wisconsin. Cimaroli's is packed almost every night and especially on weekends. And, surprise, the reason is that their food is excellent, their prices very reasonable and the people very friendly. I have always found it to be very clean and the building is large and looks fairly new. Their specialty is a Flat-Iron Steak which is very tender and is, of course, chewier than a filet. It's more like eating a NY Strip. Very delicious and you get a huge portion of 16 ounces for $17.95. If you want a filet, they also have an incredibly good filet--their 10 ounce filet is $18.95. I have had meals at twice the price that were not nearly as good. And, their rail drinks are only $2 and call drinks $3. If you want to walk in and out on a Friday or Saturday evening with a larger group, either get there very early or just enjoy the friendly atmosphere and hang out awhile until your table is ready.

A party of 6 of us stopped in ...

A party of 6 of us stopped in for dinner. After a one hour wait (although we were told it would only be 30 minutes) we were finally seated. When we walked into the dining area I was embarrassed that I suggested this restaurant to our friends. It was very dirty. The carpet (yes, carpeting in the dining area) was littered with old food and everyone was stepping on it.

The waitress recommended their "Flat Iron" Steak which we later learned is a very inexpensive cut of beef and not normally served at a restaurant (similar to Flank/Skirt Steak).

Three of us ordered it and much to our disappointment , it tasted just like Liver!

We mentioned it to the waitress and she responded with "that's too bad" and walked away. We asked if we could speak to a manager and an elderly lady came to our table. Rather than asking us if there was a problem, she told us not to come back if we were there to complain. We paid our bill and left-- never to return.

This is our new favorite restaurant when we visit Portage or the Dells! We both had tenderloin, to which I added shrimp. The steaks were very tender, served on hot platters with baked potatoes. Although we got sharp steak knives, I could have used my butter knife to cut the meat. Cooked to perfection and delicious. My shrimp were hand breaded, fried to a light brown and also very good. I had a Brandy Old Fashioned and my wife had a Virgin Strawberry Daquri and we also had coffee, and our bill was LESS than $30 ! We are coming to the dells for a convention in October, and you can bet we will be back.
