I have been to the Port Restaurant many times. On a most recent visit I had the prime rib buffet on a Sunday. On our past visits we were allowed to take our prime rib home on the first order. This past Sunday the waitress was very rude and would not let me take the meat home. The waitress preceded to stand in a group of coworkers and talk about us. I was so upset because I am not a big eater. I ate very little on the salad bar and feel that we paid for the meal, so therefore deserved to take it home. I feel that this was very unfair. I did not try to be unfair or take advantage of them, so why do they feel so right in taking advantage of a regular customer. Because of this very unfavorable experience we will tell as many people as possible about this and will not return to this restaurant ever again. I spoke to the waitress and told her that we would not return ever again. She did not really care at all, therefore I will dine at a restaurant that appreciates it's loyal customers. In these hard economic times I can't believe that any buisness would act in this manner. Think twice before you dine at this restaurant. When we go out to eat we like to relax and enjoy ourselves, this was not a pleasant experience. I also have never not left the waitress a tip, but this time we did not. A tip is called gratuity and we were far from gratified. The waitress was far from pleasant.

When family is in from out of town or we celebrate our anniversary, the Port Hotel is our favorite. The generous complimentary appetizer and bread basket leaves you wondering if you even needed to order dinner. The prime rib is always perfect and it���s hard to leave room for the chocolate decadence cake!
