I brought my new engagement ring to Port Orchard Fred Meyer Jewelers to be resized last month. After picking it up & comparing the two rings that were identical prior to dropping them of at P.O.F.M.J. I noticed right away the resized ring is noticeably thinner, the color of the gold is darker, and it has surface indentations all over as well (it looks like a tiny hammer indentations). We are most concerned about how thin it is now! We have before and after pictures that show these differences. I brought the two rings back to the store on 3/6/14 to show in person that the rings width had been altered. The manager at P.O.F.M.J. David first spoke with an outside custom jeweler and his district manager to fix the ring or replace it. Today 3/28/14 he called and tried to convince us over the phone that the rings were different in width when I brought them in & he can do nothing for me after ruining my new engagement ring and this is completely unacceptable. We find this almost incomprehensible that you would treat customer this way and ruin something so sacred in the process.
