Still mad as hell. A couple of years ago we had a kitchen and bath remodel in our home where, I feel, is the most unprofessional, junkiest rushed through job I've ever seen. I say rushed through because that's how it looks. It looks messy. *It appears they only put one coat of paint on the walls because all of the chips coming off in random places. *The drywall seam tape in the bath has been bubbling and peeling since about 6 months after they left. *The flooring wasn't stretched properly in the kitchen and has has bubbles throughout especially around the corners and through a threshold from the kitchen to the laundry room.*When they ripped the old floor out and totally rebuilt the entire floor from the back door, through the laundry room, guest bath and the kitchen to the threshold of our dining room they didn't level the new floor to the old floor in the dining room. By not matching the two floors it created a ledge and where they laid the flooring down over that ledge it's now ripping straight across from one door facing to the other. Our floor has several areas where it appears the flooring is pulling away from the wall and several other areas where the floor is really spongy and feels like if we step in the wrong area we would fall through the floor. *They didn't secure the dishwasher when they installed it so now every time you open the door the top front of the dishwasher falls forward and the top rack rolls out and makes it difficult to load or unload the bottom rack. I've both dropped dishes and have hit my head numerous times on the top rack when it rolls out. *The grout on both the backsplash in the kitchen and the tile around the shower flakes, chips off and now there's crack lines between the tiles from where the grout wasn't installed correctly. With it being a guest bath, that shower has only been used 5 or 6 times in the past 3 or so years since it's been put in. *Where they didn't seal around the countertops when they installed them and we had to go behind them to fill in with the caulk. *We didn't realize, until it was too late they trashed the brand new special ordered toilet & the pedestal sink with the new Price Pfister lavitory sink faucet. We were planning on keeping that toilet in that bath & reusing the sink & faucet at our cabin. Not knowing my parents wanted to keep the toilet and the sink they had removed it off of our property before anything could have been done about it. *We've recently had to change out that cheap discount toilet they installed. It's never worked properly since they installed it. *Since my parents weren't able to be home most of the time due to my father having to be at dialysis several times a week throughout and I had to go out of town for almost 2 months on business we weren't there to check on the work they were doing. *We gave them specific instructions on entering and leaving our premises through the gate. They were to insure our dogs were put up EVERY SINGLE TIME they opened the gate then let them back out once their vehicle was on the other side of the gate. They were told numerous times to make sure the dogs were up because one of their dogs would get out and take off for days at a time and my dog would usually follow. Sure enough, after being reminded every day about the dogs they didn't follow the directions and in turn killed my dog. My parents were almost home, right behind the truck that hit my dog and killed her. They watched her die and there was nothing they could do to save her. Only a pitiful, non-heartfelt "I'm sorry". I rescued and raised her from a tiny little puppy. I loved that dog more than any other dog I've ever had and I still grieve over her to this day. *If they can't follow directions about making sure the dogs are up how can I believe they can follow directions of how to install a dishwasher? *I wouldn't hire them to build a doll house nor dog house either one.*We've talked to other people and have heard similar horror stories from them as well.

We used Baker's Home Improvement to build our deck and enclose a carport to make a sunroom. Our deck at 8 months old is warped ,splitting and is full on nail holes. There are miscuts and shims place to compensate for their poor workmanship. Our deck gates do not close or open properly. The tile in our sunroom is misaligned and popping loose. The gout is cracking. They put a 32 inch door where a 36 inch door was called for and our French doors were also the wrong size.
Don't fall for their charismatic sales pitch and how they say they stand behind their work. Fact is they don't.
Mr Baker's personal attacks on my daughter are liable and slanderous.
Here is a link to a video of our deck.

I had an appointment with Baker's to replace our shed roof. I took off the day from work. They claimed it was going to rain and they could not make it. They hung up the phone with me when I disagreed about the weather. Glad they did not come because if something would have been wrong, I know now how they would have treated me. It stayed sunny and never rained.

I used Baker's Home Improvement to come to my home and replace my roof. When he came out to give me an estimate he brought me samples of singles to choose from. They did an amazing job, and I have yet to have any problems with my roof. I'm highly satisfied with the work that was done. Mr. Baker was a very good business man with a great price that I couldn't turn down. His crew is highly organized with their work. They make sure the job is done the right way and they also make sure you are satisfied with the work before they leave and if you had any problems they would make sure it was fixed before they leave. They warranty all their work. I also like the fact that they have an office that I can go to with a show room floor. Because all the other estimates I got from the other companies worked off their cell phone. I called to check to see if he was licensed and insured not only does he have that but he has worker’s comp., generally liability and an A+ with the better business bureau. Baker’s Home Improvement is very handy they practically fix anything and everything. If I ever need more work done I will always go to Baker’s Home Improvement. Also, I highly suggest that if anyone ever needs home repairs go to Baker’s Home Improvement.

My two experiences with this c...

My two experiences with this company were both negative.

First was when they first started their business. Got an estimate for some work, and some things got left off the estimate so I called them about it. Mr. Baker's wife/receptionist took the call and said Mr. Baker would call me back. He didn't. I called again, was promised a call back by a certain day. A week later, still no call. Both times Mrs. Baker's main goal seemed to be to get me to look at their website to see all their "wonderful work", rather than to address my own concern with my own house. I called again and got voice mail. Left a message. Still no return call. I gave up on trying to get a return call, and hired someone else who did return calls.

Fast forward a few years to today. I had a house fire and need some rebuilding done. I decided to give Baker a second chance, giving them the benefit of a doubt because they were so new last time. I called yesterday and Mrs. Baker set up an appointment for Mr. Baker to come out and look at the house. I asked her if the estimate was free. She said it was.

Today Mrs. Baker called back and said that because insurance is involved, Mr. Baker won't give a free estimate unless I have already chosen him to do the work. He wants to charge me $250 just to look at the house. Regardless of whether insurance is involved or not, who in their right mind would agree to hire a contractor BEFORE the contractor has even looked at the house and gives you his opinion on what needs to be done and how much it will cost?

I'm getting several estimates before I decide who to hire. This is the responsible way to hire a contractor. NO other contractor has charged me for an estimate or required that I choose them before they'll give me a free estimate, and those others are reputable companies with A+ BBB ratings, and they are aware that insurance will be involved. What Mr. Baker is doing sounds totally shady to me. Needless to say, Baker's Home Improvement is out of the running for this job!
