Founded in 1986, the company was first known as Meyers Builders of Pleasant Valley, New York. After its early success, the company changed its name to Meyer Contracting Corporation in 1994. Today, Meyer is an open shop general contractor, that provides both prevailing wage and private work. The company employs over 40 people, including a highly-skilled, field crew of dedicated craftsmen: operators, carpenters, laborers and masons. With an anticipated volume of twenty million dollars for 2007, Meyer believes that its success hinges largely on its unique ability to bring projects in on time and within budget. As the company looks to the future, it continues to focus on its short-term goals: to provide its customers with a positive construction experience and to continue to invest in customer relations and long range marketing.
