Don’t use Venture to build your backyard pool- unless you want to end up like this.

We have a leaking shell complete with 30ft of patchwork (and still leaking), broken/cracked tiles, coping that doesn’t meet the decking, decking that is very unstable and falling away. Inadequate drainage. Venture is refusing to follow their engineer recommendations to repair. We are left with a pool that does not look like what we agreed upon and is unstable and unsafe.

f I could put a 1/2, I would. We entrusted Venture Custom Pools to build us our dream. What we received in return has been somewhat of a bad dream While the work had yet to be completed, we have now had coping move after a month and a half of the pool being filled. Upon calling, I was only able to speak to Gary, who did not even bother to come out and take a look at the problem. He determined by a cell phone picture that the problem was shifting soil, as we did not get their soil injection....no need as we had a soil injection done by the builder prior to building the home. Gary “assumed” (incorrectly) that it was just under the foundation, when in actuality it was the entire lot. Long story short, Gary in so many words tried to hide behind their warranty. Take a look at some pictures of the “soil movement”, it seems to have happened within six inches, per his photo evaluation. Do yourselves a favor and call me, I have plenty of pictures and audio recordings before you make a decision. Don’t even get me started on having to redo the pavers, the tiles, the ledgestone....I could go on and on and on.....you have been warned!!!!

We contemplated building a pool for several years and finally settled on Venture Custom Pools.
We started the digging and gunite process with one Forman, he left and everything went down hill from there.
The tile and ledgestone was installed so poorly that after 4 attempts of redoing it Venture finally agreed to hire a competent tile contractor to take off for fifth time and redo. Same scenario with decking material, destroyed our French drains, cut sprinkler lines, created huge ruts in our front, side and backyard. Treated our property as if it was their personal trash can.
Then hired two day laborers who came out with a wheelbarrrel and two shevels to level the yard. I can go on and on...we have surveillance cameras so have plenty of video footage, makes a great movie. Hilarious at times watching the contractors especially the two man and one wheel-barrel!
Don’t bother calling the office, nobody cares. They’d just want their money.
We requested to meet with Steve, one of the owners, he definitely didn’t care.
As the saying goes...flows down hill.
Funny, Steve forgot that it’s the customer that pays for him to hide out in the back office.
Steve and Kevin Deering, when you make one customer happy we may share with a friend, but when you make one customer unhappy we will share with the entire world!

I had a wonderful experience with Venture Pools. Starting from the first contact with Andrew to get an estimate to the finished product I dont think I could have had a better experience.

All of your crews were courteous and were masters at their skill. The Gunite and decking crews probably amazed me more than any. Phenomenal job.

Venture Pools did an incredible job building our pool! Everyone was extremely nice and easy to work with. Angelica, Amanda & Amberly were all very helpful while I was in the store deciding on tile, stone and decking. Mark did a great job with my pool design. Jordan, my superintendent, did a great job keeping the subcontractors on task and was always willing to do whatever it took to get things done to my satisfaction. Becky was instrumental in the entire process. She really kept things running smoothly and was always quick to return my calls/ emails and answer any questions I had.

I am beyond thrilled on the amazing progress Venture Custom Pools has done in the timely manner as well as with the disturbance of very bad weather! The pool already looks amazing and the project isn't even complete yet I am very excited to have chosen to work with your company on this project for my home! All the employees involved with this project are just as great as (you)! The design and request have all been taken care of because you been so awesome managing the job! The contact through this entire process has been great as well, and glad we are working as a team to make my home pool special for me! I recommend the next person to use your services! Thank you.

7/21/16: Spoke to Chris, one of the owners today. I really wish I would have known who he was/how to get a hold of him as well as the V.P. of construction, Garry. Not that I should have had to, but if I had reached out to either one of these gentleman as soon as my project became troublesome, I believe they would have corrected the issues. They, of course, assumed their employees were doing their jobs and were not aware of my problems until they read my social media post. In hind sight, unfair to them, and I recommended they make it clear who customers should contact with concerns on their website and/or when customers initially sign a pool contract. I would only post discouraging business IF the owners and/or top management had failed to address my concerns. Wish I had started with Chris or Garry before posting here. Having another successful week on this project!

Joe came by yesterday and he was great! I've had a pool all my adult life and after his patience and instructions I finally actually know how to clean and run one. The arbor guys also came by yesterday and they are very nice and also did a great job.

Venture Pools stayed on pace and completed their work on time. We are first time pool owners and are really happy of how our backyard has transpired. It is a paradise with the feel of a resort on the beach except without the sand. My kids and I are really enjoying our backyard and has attracted our entire neighborhood.

I wanted to say Thank You to all of the Venture Customer Pool crew!!! I had a pleasant experience from the beginning until the end. I was excited about having a pool but didn't really know much about them. They explained the different options and worked within our budget. He really made us feel like we were important, he listened and gave us ideas along the way. So much fun to work with the crew. Everyone was very organized, on time and cleaned up after their work each day they were here. Thanks!!!

I just wanted to let you guys know David was awesome, very informative and had even called to let me know he could be here earlier. It was a good thing, he wasn't aware he had to do the start up, so he had that done before I got home. Thank you for sending him out!!

I would like to provide feedback for the great work construction team has done. Kudos to Becky, Angelica and Jordan. They were on top of the tasks and very responsive. This made me refer to neighbors and friends. Keep up the good work and thanks for all the help. My kids love the pool!!!

We are loving the pool! Mark did excellent and couldn't do enough to make us pleased with the process of builder a pool and that goes for Brandon, Becky and Jen as well. John's got a class operation no doubt about it. We have told everyone we run across about how easy it is to work with Venture and the staff. Many have asked and its all positive. Saying that, there isn't a lot of pool building around here since for the most part we're pretty well build out in our community. If we run across anyone we'll certainly give them a high recommendation, now and always.
