The care for my pets is top of the world here.

I trust no other veterinarian like I trust Dr. Blaso. He was introduced to me by another highly trusted vet who was leaving the area, so he was hand-picked for me by someone who knew how picky I am about my pets. He is one of those vets who is in it for the right reason - - he loves animals! More importantly, he is very smart, compassionate, wise and very easy to discuss options with. He very carefully balances what the customer wants with the best options available for the animal. Example: I had a 16 year-old cat that had traveled with us from Germany and she was one of the most awesome cats I have ever known! She became ill, with her health failing over time, and money was tight. Dr. Blaso gave me numerous options - - here's what we CAN do vs. what can't be done. When my beloved cat made it plain that she was shutting down, I knew what I had to do, even though it was like ripping my heart out! I took her to see Dr. Blaso, and he took the time to sit on the floor with me while we observed my cat and discussed options. Once again, here's what we CAN do - - there was no rush to put her down. Finally, after all was said and done and I had decisions to make, Dr. Blaso kindly told me, "We can spend money hand over fist but this cat is never going to be well again." I knew I had to let her go, and Dr. Blaso told me to take all the time I wanted - - that I could stay in the exam room with her until I was ready. Then he explained in great detail what was involved and what to expect. He also let me hold her while he put her to sleep, then let me stay until I was ready to leave. He hugged me and told me to call if I needed to talk, then sent me a card a couple of days later! I have NEVER known a vet to do that!! I have trusted him explicitly ever since, and he has never let me down. I'm amazed at how he is always willing to entertain new ideas and doesn't become defensive when asked to explain a decision. He is the BEST and I am truly fortunate and blessed to know him!
