My Massage Style

I work slowly and with progressive pressure. My hands listen carefully to your body.  I use a strong/firm yet gentle touch, instantly adjusting to your needs.  My belief is that more pressure does not equal deeper work. Depth is achieved through trust and relaxation, allowing the body to open up and release tension.  I work intuitively, going right to where you need it.  I specialize in deep, therapeutic work that is gentle and smooth, effective and totally relaxing. When I'm done, your energy is balanced and restored, and you feel like yourself again.

Techniques

I'm often asked what style of massage I give, so a client can ask for it elsewhere.  I can only respond that I use a blend of techniques, both from training and my own experience. My style generally combines Swedish massage with acupressure and deep tissue work, incorporating deeper point work with gliding strokes, friction, and energy healing.  Strong knowledge of anatomy and my intuitive nature guide the process.

My Education & Experience 

I completed my basic massage training of 600 hours in 1999, and have continued my education since. I have training in Swedish massage, deep tissue, reflexology, pre-natal, lymphatic, sports, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point, shiatsu, acupressure, hot stone massage, aromatherapy, AVEDA Stress-Fixâ„¢, spa treatments, breathwork, and Emotional Freedom Technique.  I received attunement to the Reiki Master level in 1999 and work with energy as well as the physical body.

I've had my own massage practice for years, as well as experience working in day spas and AAA Four Diamond Resorts & Spas ascross multiple states.  I know the massage industry and standards well, and I maintain a high level of professionalism in the service I offer.

                 Licensing & Certifications

Aside from California Massage Therapist certification (CMT #32775) I hold active massage licenses in Utah (#7232544-4701) and Hawaii (#MAT-8526).  I've been previously licensed in Nevada (#NVMT-3102) and South Lake Tahoe, California (#0712-004).  I am Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
