Judi’s Place for Kids is the children’s advocacy center in Pikeville, KY serving children from the Big Sandy Region: Pike, Floyd, Johnson, Martin, and Magoffin Counties. Judi’s Place provides free services to child victims of severe physical/sexual abuse and their non-offending family members/caretakers in a child friendly environment. This is possible through the joint efforts of the various professionals that must get involved when a child reports abuse.

The center was founded in 1999 as the Big Sandy Area Child Advocacy Center in Pikeville, KY.  In August 2011, the center was re-named Judi’s Place for Kids in honor of Judi Patton, the Former First Lady of Kentucky.  Mrs. Patton worked to establish a network of 15 child advocacy centers across the state of Kentucky. She continues today as a member of the Judi’s Place for Kids board of directors.
