Awful! BAIT-and-SWITCH.
He advertises 24hr service. That is a lie to lure you into calling him. He would not come out at 7pm on a Monday. (That should have scared me off.)
He told me the appointment fee is $115 to come out. I said fine. That is an industry standard for a time and materials billing company.
However, SURPRISE! He says something to my daughter (who was handling appt) about prices that she doesn't understand. Then when I get home there is a "flat rate" repair bill for $295. He tricked us with the normal appointment model (time and materials), then billed me at an insane flat-rate. If he only does flat-rates, then he MUST tell people that before making the appointment. How deceptive. I would never have agreed to hire him for $295 for ten minutes in my house (half of which was using the toilet!) to replace a single compressor capacitor, FIVE minutes of work, $35 part.
