White apple institute (formerly known AS white apple training & education center) was founded in 1983 by Danita APPLEWHITE. PHD. SHE developed the organization in response to the overwhelming requests of teachers and counselors WHO wanted to bring awareness to the challenges facing adult students with special needs or disabilities in school and the workplace. It was a critical call to ensure that "NO student (child or adult) should BE left behind" if the motivation and skill levels are present. White apple INSTITUTE(WAI) supports adult students (AGE 16+) facing unique challenges in their desire to access the same benefits AS other students and employees. The average profile of WAI students is a person ranging in AGE from 30 50 years. Some college. Parent. Head of household. And diagnosed with MENTAL/LEARNING. And physical disabilities. WHO needs resources and services to complete their education and succeed in the workforce.
