The food bank was formed with the merging of St. Mary s and Westside Food Banks in 2001. As one organization, the food bank is working to get more food to more people through its 900-partner agency sites throughout the state of Arizona. Volunteers donated more than 300,000 hours of their time in one year so the food banks could distribute enough food for 221,000 meals every day.
