"As a board-certified surgeon and former clinical associate professor of surgery, Dr. Nabiel Azar’s career blends the best of both academic training and clinical expertise. A provider with United Vein Centers in Phoenix since 2019, Azar values the opportunity to specialize and focus his skills on vein health, an area of interest for more than 15 years. “I get a lot of enjoyment from educating people about the importance of their vein system and the specifics of what it does,” says Azar, a teacher at heart. “Sometimes, patients have balance issues or swelling – or they have issues that have been misdiagnosed as eczema or psoriasis – and really, they’re dealing with underlying vein issues.” Azar approaches medical care as a partnership, taking the time to talk with his patients so that they can play an informed role in decision-making about their procedures. “It’s important to me that my patients feel they are informed and can take ownership of their care,” he says."
