I had Al as an instructor, he is absolutely the best, I had ONE two hour lesson and a review on the day of my road test and passed on the first try. I waited until late to get my license (age 51) having never been behind the wheel before this time as a certain Philadelphia transit agency was always just steps from my door. Al's knowledge is amazing and you NEED to ask for him if the chance arises. Thank you a Million times over for your time in educating me on the safe operation of a car and preparing me for the road test.

I'd give more than five stars if I could.

I had Steve as my instructor and he was great. I only had a few lessons before I felt comfortable driving. He was incredibly patient and was confident in me. My only complaint is that he was a bit too positive, but I'm a pessimist. I was able to get my license on my first try. I give this school 5/5.

I had such a wonderful experience with Pauls driving school. Steve was my instructor and I would recommend him to anyone. He was very patient with me during my lessons. He helped build my confidence in driving and always assured me that I was a winner. If you have never really been behind a wheel I encourage you to take a few lessons with Steve. I passed my road test on the first time. Pauls driving school is very professional and helpful. I would recommend this school to anyone. Thank you Paul driving school for everything you have done.

I couldn't have been happier with the level of professionalism and service Al provided. It's not often I recommend someone, but if you want to pass your license test, CALL AL the Specialist!!

I had a wonderful experience with Paul's driving school. Steve was my instructor and he was the best instructor ever. He was very patient, really nice, and he always encouraged me to be more confident about driving. He told me he wanted me to WIN, as in, pass my road test. And that is what happened, I passed my road test the first time :)) . I had a different instructor from a different driving school before and I had learned nothing from him, I was a very nervous driver then. But Steve made me more relaxed behind the wheels and because of Steve I actually started enjoying driving and became more confident! :)

I've been researching schools for a while and it seemed Paul's was the best and Al was the best instructor. But that wasn't the case. Al knows how to drive but when it comes to teaching he struggles with explaining things well. He'd say things like "turn hard" as a new driver I don't know what that means. I ended up driving with him 3 times ($60 per hour) and it was less than satisfactory.



There were pros to my experience. He helped me with confidence behind the wheel and he took me on the highway although I didn't feel I was ready. This motivated me. But in regards to skills...I didnt learn much.

This driving school needs to get a new secretary or hire some who knows how to return some one's call.

This is our first experience with our first child learning how to drive. Michael was my daughters' instructor. He is excellent!!!!! He took her for her driving test today and she did excellent and passed because of Michael. He is dedicated and extremely knowledgeable. I recommend him 100%.

My experience with Paul Driving school was great..thanks to Steve he is the best he should me so much and now I can parallel park very well.. Drive on the expressway with 100% confidence. He is the best I would recommended anybody to him he awesome at what he does and he is a great guy.. Even doe I drove Steve nuts�������� but he still had patience with my crazy self .. Thanks steve

My experience with Paul's Driving school was great. After a few lessons I feel as though im a excellent driver. My instructor showed me everything I needed to know as a beginner to get me to where im at now with my licence. My first lesson I went on the express to work on my coordination and from that moment there I knew that Paul's was the perfect driving school for me. Overall I had a great experience, tackled all my challenges to pass my drivers exam on the first try and I would recommend if you are looking to practice driving to go to Paul's Driving School.

I passed the driver’s exam on my first try thanks to the BEST driving instructor, Chris! He is professional, personable, and extremely knowledgeable about driving. Chris is very patient and one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He will kindly clarify or repeat anything you don’t understand.



I had little driving experience and in just two lessons I was more than ready for the exam. The first lesson Chris had me drive around the entire city from the wide streets of West Phila, the highway (which wasn’t bad at all), the very narrow streets of South Phila, the congested streets of Center City, and the twists and turns of Kelly drive and Cobbs Creek. After my first lesson, I was more than comfortable driving every area of Philly and, yes, this was my first time driving the city. During my second lesson, I learned to parallel park in less than 15 minutes (seriously)!



The day of my exam, I knew EVERYTHING to expect from beginning to end. I knew every instruction the examiner would say before he even instructed me to do it. Chris had me practice the driving exam beforehand so that by the time my exam came around; nothing even surprised me at all. I cannot recommend this school enough and it’s definitely worth every penny if you’re really ready for your license and don’t want to waste money on pointless lessons in a parking lot and taking a bunch of unnecessary lessons. If you’re even a little nervous or scared about driving like I was, one lesson with Chris will have you confident and eager to drive. Chris is truly an outstanding instructor!

Chris was my instructor and he is the best out there. We drove together twice only and I pass my test on the first try. I am so happy right now, words can't express how grateful I am for him. Thank you so much and I will definitely recommend anyone to Paul's driving school.

I needed to pass the driver exam and had failed twice before trying on my own. But after four lessons with Steve, I passed. Steve is a veteran septa bus driver so he will teach you how to pass the test and how to be a safe and confident driver. He took the time to practice my weak points (parallel parking) and he went over what to expect on the road test itself. Thanks again!

This morning no lie I was most uncertain about taking my drivers test, I called the school this morning I was very concern about my parking on every thing I learn how to park in 30 minutes down pack I learn the test I was scared to death but he promised 98% I was going to pass and I did man I was happy still am he is the best at what he dose this is the right choice don't think just do. Thanks Paul him self driving school.

I had been scared to drive for so long, and I was super reluctant to get lessons...however, when I met my instructor Steve, that all changed. Friendly, down-to-earth and funny, Mr. Robinson made learning how to drive as stress-free and calming as possible. He actually became a friend to me in the process, but he was super knowledgable and professional. It might not seem like a big deal, but learning how to drive and face my fear of being on the road was a huge obstacle in my life because of my anxiety, but I had the best possible person to teach me. The day of my test he encouraged and lifted me up and calmed my nerves. I passed, and I'm really grateful to have my license and a cool person in my life. Thanks so much, Steve. You're the best.

Im surprised to get my driver license the first time and for that I have to thank Al the specialist, who was able to teach me little tricks to help me out. One of the earliest things I felt was parallel parking. And I would definitely recommend him to anyone, he allowes you to feel at ease when your driving. I can't believe that the first day of lessons he had instructed me to go on the highway and now I'm very grateful.

Today was my daughters 1st lesson. Al the specialist showed her a lot in a short amount if time. Money well spent because I don't have the heart or patience. Good job

I had Chris as my driving instructor, I never drove before and he taught me everything I needed to know. Not only for the test but for driving in Philadelphia. I took 2 lessons with him and practiced with him for an hour before the test and I Passed !!! It was a great experience.

Excellent teacher! i called him 15 mins before my drivng exam due to not knowing the dmv i was at did not rent cars. He arrived with in 10 mins giving us 5 for him to show me a couple things including parking all in 5 mins and i passed the test with ease thanks to his tips.

Al was a great instructor - informative, charismatic and funny. My favorite part was driving on the highway! I'm glad I was able to meet with him and I look forward to taking lessons with him again.
