Howard/McCray manufactures commercial refrigeration products and specializes in product display. Its cases are suitable for bakeries, convenience stores, food markets and restaurants. With more than 115 years of experience, the company traces its roots back to 1887, when McCray was founded in Kendallville, Ind., and specialized in wooden ice display cases. Albert Fogel founded Howard in 1949. It acquired McCray in 1975 and merged the companies into the facility in Philadelphia. Fogel s family remained active in the business until 2002 when Jeff Fogel retired. In December of 2003, the management team acquired the company. Howard/McCray Refrigeration is in Philadelphia.
