We used Avalon for our flooring. The installers did not speak English. This was a 2-1/2 day job. They did it in one and did not leave until 9 PM. The job therefore is not good at all.

We called Avalon. 8 times in 13 weeks. We had to deal with "George". He told us the repairs on the floor were not big enough for Avalon to come back and do. He'd call a flooring man and give him the heads up.

Week 13: We spoke to the salesperson, manager, his boss and then the regional manager. "George" lied and told the managers he had taken care of it. We come to find out he called the flooring man AFTER the regional manager called him. We never heard from anyone.

We went to BELLA Flooring in Pipersville, PA. What a difference! Real people. Honest, caring, competitive prices, efficient, friendly, etc.

Just so you know, we are having laminate taken up in the kitchen (save it for the repairs), putting vinyl flooring in the kitchen, regrouting of the bathroom tile (never done correctly to begin with) and quarter round put around the baseboards. This job was not big enough for Avalon to come back, repair the buckles and do the rest.

If you live near Doylestown call BELLA flooring instead. If you don't call BELLA anyway and ask them for a referral to someone in your area.

I would have given Avalon a high rating if I was just rating the showroom. Unfortunately, I used Avalon's installation and that is where I would never, never, never contract with them again.The installers were subcontractors and not supervised by Avalon staff, even though Avalon states that they train them. I had carpet, hardwood flooring, and tile installed. Each installation was with a different sub.. A member of the Avalon staff only came to the property after complaints were made. None of the installers showed any consideration for my property. They left a mess, trash, food wrappers, nails, shards of tile, etc... The work was sloppy and recquired hiring my own installer to obtain satisfaction. Avalon customer service told me that my expectations for the job were too high. When I spend over $30,000 my expectations of the satisfaction guaranteed should be high.Purchase your product from Avalon, but NEVER use their installation service.
