I graduated from the University of Delaware in 1973 with a B.A. in History. In 1976 I received my Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School. After three years in private practice I went back to school to earn a Masters of Law in Federal Income Taxation from the New York University school of Law (1980).I was an adjunct professor at the University of Delaware and taught an undergraduate course in business law. I also developed the curriculum for and taught two classes at University of Hartford's MBA program. One was a course in the Federal Income Taxation of partnerships. The other was the Federal Income Taxation of real estate. In addition while at Marriott and CIGNA (see Experience) I gave a number of in-house seminars for lawyers and investment professionals about amendments to the Internal Revenue Code.
